Reading others in the forums it appears I'm not alone, which is comforting when I'm not on a whole30 I tend to crave alcohol, then I drink alcohol, then I feel crap and my sleep is crap and my stomach isn't happy, then I always vow to not drink it again or in the same circumstances, and then a few days later I see myself on the same track. Has anyone managed to break this cycle/intervene before it escalates to the guilt/regret stage?

  6. Extending the whole 30 can indeed be beneficial for those with longer-term health conditions.
  7. I have a disordered relationship with food. I have found these are massively impacted by anxiety, self esteem and blood sugar/ hormone regulation. The whole30 is helping with all of these, so I am feeling less urge to binge. I have not had a "w30 compliant binge" either; today is day 19.
  8. I found eating three meals a day actually helps my migraines (vestibular migraines), due to its positive impact on hormone regulation and blood sugar. Can someone help you make the third meal?
  9. I take baclofen (which has lactose in) and fluoxetine. I absolutely cannot come off these, and I am getting results from my whole30 still (day 19).

  14. Mhmm very true. i was feeling really tired and "meh" today, and I realised I haven't had any particularly starch veg. Sweet potato wedges with turkey burgers and 2 fried eggs and now I'm laughing at disney songs

  16. today is day 12 and no problems with staying on plan. Just quite tired and headache-y with brain fog. Tomorrow my boss is going to bring in cakes for our team meeting. She is an amazing baker and they taste amazing. She also makes an effort to make them gluten and dairy free for me due to my coeliac disease and lactose intolerance. I have fallen off the bandwagon before here...and everyone will be eating delicious cake in front of me....help!!!

  20. big hugs. I had this a lot with my mum, she would make me treats and I would find it really hard to say no as I know she's put a lot of effort into it. I got her on my side and now she loves cooking out of the w30 book and well fed!

  23. yesterday I went to see a wedding venue, fell in love with it and put a deposit down. I then started to freak out about how much I would have to save money-wise and the changes to be made. More than ever I wanted a glass of wine to relax the anxiety and nerves so my head would quieten down (I was on day 8), I was so close to just giving up my whole30 (not feeling the magic yet, obviously to be expected on day 8) I also gave up caffeine 2 days ago to help with my migraine headaches so yesterday I was really feeling it. I even asked my OH if we could go via my house first so he could drive us to dinner then I could drink. BUT when the waitress came to take my order and asked what drink I would like, I imagined Melissa next to me saying "you're not going down like this" and I ordered a sparkling water
  24. Day 20 here. Feeling better minus some lingering tiredness. Anxiety and depression better which is great. Eczema still flaring up but may take a bit longer to heal. However something that's been really troubling is I have been forgetting words/struggling to find them more than usual. It's something I do struggle with but it has gotten worse over the past week or two. I'm having enough water, starchy veg, salting my food etc.
