Lexie1221
I just made the slow cooker chicken and gravy recipe from NOM NOM paleo and OH EM GEE it was amazing! It's a whole chicken so u get lots of leftovers and you can use the carcass to make chicken broth. The gravy was to die for! Not to mention it was easy peasy lemon squeezy;) kids and hubby gobbled it up too. It's a keeper recipe for sure:) I will mention that I didn't have leeks so I used onion instead. Guest
I love this gravy technique and use it often. Has worked for beef and poultry. Wow!

skittles
Hi, Can someone post the link? I have the app but don't see it unless I glanced over it. Thanks! Skittles
jent103
I'm not sure if it's in the app, but it's available on her blog and is also in the new cookbook. I have it bookmarked to try. http://nomnompaleo.com/post/4807547385/slow-cooker-roast-chicken-and-gravy

praxisproject
Ooh, a good reminder. I love her Julia Child chicken roasting recipe (two chickens at once!), but haven't tried this yet as we don't have Penzey's spices here, not sure how to replicate the seasoning. Guest
Ooh, a good reminder. I love her Julia Child chicken roasting recipe (two chickens at once!), but haven't tried this yet as we don't have Penzey's spices here, not sure how to replicate the seasoning. I made this (I think I found it as a Steal this Meal) as written, once. Ever since, I just throw some mire-poix and raw chicken into my crockpot with salt and pepper. When it is done cooking, I put the mire-poix in my blender container, add enough of the cooking liquid from the chicken to cover, and blend. Chicken and gravy complete.
