runninglawyer88
So, I am always looking for more food ideas so I thought this would be a fun topic. So, tell us, what's the best this you ever ate (during your whole 30)? For me there would be many close seconds but I'd have to say this (Thai coconut curry shrimp on cauliflower rice): http://www.tiffanyleegaston.com/paleo-thai-coconut-curry-shrimp-on-cauliflower-rice/

I'm sure I will be commenting more than once ;-) I made this from your recipe a week ago and I agree, SUPER delicious and easy. The aroma in the house itself is worth cooking. Well Fed Chocolate Chili is a good one too. Easy for a busy Sunday afternoon of meal prepping. I made it for my mom and she loved it. I can see this as being a go-to winter warm me up meal :-)
kw 30
Pork chops in creamy turmeric sauce from Mark's Daily Apple. I just made this last night and even my boyfriend said it was his favorite Whole30 meal I've cooked so far! I served over cauliflower mash instead of rice. Yesterday was our last day of reintro so we were incorporating gluten all day, and I complete forgot to serve the sourdough bread with this meal because everything else was so delicious. Enjoy! http://www.marksdailyapple.com/pork-chops-in-creamy-turmeric-sauce/#axzz2uRzCxeez
namtrag
We are only on day 6, but what my wife cooked last night was so good. She bought some organic boneless chicken thighs, chopped up some fresh cilantro, and put it in a big skillet with coconut oil. Then she squeezed a fresh lime all over the chicken when it was cooking. What made it so good was that she cooked the thighs to the point that they got a crispy coating in places...so good and so simple. I actually prefer this over chicken breast I think...the fat really tastes good and the thighs are very moist. I did a bad thing when helping her clean, used the spatula to scrape the little bit of burned greasy chicken thigh meat that was stuck to the pan..ate it, and I didn't feel guilty at all! Moderators Tom Denham Posted February 28, 2014 Moderators Share Posted February 28, 2014 I prefer the nutritional values of beef, but I love the taste of roast chicken thighs plus almost any veggie. here is a recipe: http://www.wholelifeeating.com/2012/01/skillet-roasted-chicken-thighs-and-brussels-sprouts/

JohannaE
EXCELLENT question. And extremely tough to answer! I have eaten some seriously good food since starting. Even my husband agrees, and his diet is nowhere near Whole30! Here are my favorites: Breakfast: Smoked Salmon, Spinach and Avocado Scramble atop Sweet Potato Hash AND Orange Coconut Omelette (so simple but I just love it!) Dinner: Spaghetti Squash in a Creamy Avocado Pesto Sauce with Smoked Salmon and Asparagus, Pastelon AND Plantain Nachos from Well Fed 2 with Chocolate Chili, homemade guac and salsa! AmyS
NomNomPaleo's Chicken and Gravy. http://nomnompaleo.com/post/4807547385/slow-cooker-roast-chicken-and-gravy I make this often, and frankly, mostly for the gravy. It's insanely good, and better than any traditional gravy I've ever had, no kidding. The kids slurp it up too, and I don't even have to tell them they're eating bone broth and veggies. GFChris
Breakfast: Primal breakfast casserole http://www.marksdailyapple.com/primal-breakfast-casserole/#axzz2ue5hSh3rLunch: Farmers Market Gazpacho (in the summer I usually make a batch weekly) http://whole9life.com/2012/07/summer-soups/ Have it with a protein on the side. Dinner: a tie between Morrocan Meatballs http://www.theclothesmakethegirl.com/2009/03/05/mmmmm-moroccan-meatballs/and Savory Sweet Potato Meatloaf http://paleomg.com/paleo-savory-sweet-potato-meatloaf/

Moqueca (Brazilian Fish Stew) - I love Simply Recipes' version. Green Beans with Sizzled Garlic - Well Fed 2 - yes, it's that good. Carmen Cosentino
Moroccan Dipping Sauce found in Well Fed. Served it with chicken last night and added some today with sauteed kale. Super easy and quick to make. Golden Cauliflower Soup (Well Fed 2) is really easy and creamy. Sometimes while dinner was cooking I would have a bowl :-)

Moderators LadyM Posted March 6, 2014 Moderators Share Posted March 6, 2014 Great thread! Thanks for all the excellent ideas. For me, Nom Nom's Slow Cooker Korean Short Ribs are like crack: http://nomnompaleo.com/post/3762844557/slow-cooker-korean-grass-fed-short-ribs I second her slow cooker chicken and gravy, especially for the gravy, and love to serve it with her braised cabbage: http://nomnompaleo.com/post/1356598429/worlds-best-braised-green-cabbage Though I honestly prefer a nice crispy roast chicken than the chicken that comes out of the slow cooker. I roast a chicken every week, save the skin and recrisp it when ready to eat, make broth with the carcass, and use the meat throughout the week for various things, sometimes salad, sometimes soup.
