Limit or occasional

Recommended Posts

I'm not sure I understand your question, but let me try to answer it.

Whatever isn't labeled limit or occasional, eat those foods more often than not. Also recognize that the shopping list is not an exhaustive list.

Dried fruits are labeled as limited because they can be food without brakes for many folks. Further, for those with a sugar dragon, eating dried fruits can feed it vs. help you conquer the dragon. If you're going to have fruit (fruit is optional on a Whole30), the best choice is fresh whole fruit instead.

Sunflower seeds (or any nuts and seeds) should not be your primary fat choice. They contain polyunsaturated fats, and too much of it makes your cells more vulnerable to oxidation, which predisposes you to inflammation.

things that say "limit" and "occasional" are the things you should not eat often. Limit them. eat them only occasionally. (everything marked that way).

What you should eat often are veggies, good fats, meat, fish and eggs. These are the basis of all your meals every day.

Chris already explained why we limit dried fruit and sunflower seeds as I was typing this, so I will leave it at that.
