Really new on here and started my whole 30 on Monday. Have had IBS c for all my life. Have been reading a lot tonight about how l glutamine can help heal the mucosa of the gut and therefore help repair a leaky gut.

Can anyone recommend a compliant non-gmo one please?/

And anyone used this with success??

Thanks

Thank you Jac and Tom. I've not bought one so far after toms reply. I totally understand the need to heal through food and that's sensible advice. I just thought that while my body is experiencing such clean eating and not battling anything it might be a good time to help the healing along its way,

So, L-Glutamine is amazing, and I continue to use it on my Whole30. NOW Foods brand amzn.com/B000QVCAKQ is compliant. I take it at night for recovery, but I've also used the powder form in the past by mixing it into bone broth for gut lining support, and it's also effective in decreasing sugar cravings in about 15 minutes. It usually only contains 100% L-Glutamine powder, so most brands should be okay.

THAT BEING SAID, while it's compliant with the Whole30, the point is to see how much different you feel by just changing your food.

I commute by bike 55 miles/week, so continuing to supplement with BCAAs and Glutamine while I Whole30 (on my 4th one!) makes sense to me because I want to prevent muscle breakdown.

If you can, I'd do the whole 30 days without changing your supplements, but definitely try it afterward. Your call though. :)
