orca0406
Hello - I completed my first Whole30 in Oct/Nov and for the most part have been keeping with a W30-ish program. I am much more concious now of how much soy is prevalent in our foods, including my mutli-vitamin. My question is, if I am avoiding soy as much as possible in everything else I consume, is the soy lecithin in my vitamins still a problem? Is even this small bit of soy still an issue? Administrators ladyshanny Posted December 16, 2015 Administrators Share Posted December 16, 2015 Soy is a known gut disruptor. It's really up to you and how you feel with ingesting it, no one can say "X amount is less bad".

LucieB
I'm in agreement that soy isn't good. But there is debate on whether all soy lecithins actually contains soy proteins. Maybe it depends on the quality of the derived lecithin? For my part, I evaluate the benefits of the soy lecithin-containing item against other factors. For example, some chocolates have soy lecithin. I'm OK with the vitamin, but I'd avoid that chocolate and look for another, as I see the benefits of the vitamin and limited dosage. Just sharing how I approach this topic. Chris Kresser has a good article on soy lecithin.
