Post Whole30 Logs

Recommended Posts

Hi friends!

The fabulous Renee, moderator extraordinaire, has brought to our attention that there are several post Whole30 logs hanging out in this topic. We LOVE that you're keeping logs, and we wanted to give you guys your own section to do just that! So, there's now a section in the Community area of the forum for your Post W30 logs! Don't be surprised, or offended, if you find your log moved over there in the next few days. We're just working to keep things as organized as possible for all of you :0)

Hey Renee,

Sorry about that! I think the admins forgot to click something off when they added the section. Robin and I can at least ACCESS the forum, but we can't post to it either, or click into any of the threads. We know there's a problem and we're working on it!

Okay, Matt fixed it. I moved your logs again, guys.

Sorry for the musical chairs. Let us know if there are any other problems! :)

Oh, if your log is still in here and you'd like us to move it, just leave a note here and we'll take care of it!

When I go to the Post Whole30 Log section, the only log I can see is my own. Where are the others??? Hmmm. I tried to read Derval's in the Off Track section but received an error message.

Also, my log appears in both the Off Track Section, and the Post Whole30 Log section. If I update one, will the other also update? I'm confused. Sorry.

Good luck fixing the errors.

Hey Jhmomi,

When I moved your logs, I left redirect links in this forum, so you (and any other regular visitors would see that it moved, and could click right to it. It's not your real post, just a redirect link, so it shouldn't update when you update your real log.

Second, I noticed that the post visibility was off too. I moved 5 logs, but can only see two if I go straight to the forum. I've already let the webguru know about it, so he should be letting us know what's up soon.

In the meantime, you can still get to your favorite Post Whole30 logs from the redirect links mentioned above. Annoying, I know. So sorry for the technical difficulties. We're working on it!

jhmomi, I'm 89% certain that all the kinks are worked out. It was set up to only show topics from that were posted to today. Can you poke around and let me know if you see everybody's?

Renee, I'm afraid something is still messed up.

I can see my log in both areas.

I only see my log in the Post Whole30 Log section.

In the Offtrack section, when I click on Derval or Renee's log, I get an error and I am unable to see any posts.

Hope that helps your techie folks figure out the issue!

Susan

P.S. This is the error message I see when I click on Derval or Renee's log...

An Error Occurred

Sorry, an error occurred. If you are unsure on how to use a feature, or don't know why you got this error message, try looking through the help files for more information.

The stats on the left say 5 topics, but I can only see my own in there

Can I ask why it's set up like this? It means no one can read the logs unless they are updated very regularly.

Derval, it WAS set up like that. It was a mistake in the initial setup (along with the being unable to post to it thing).

Unfortunately, I don't have admin rights, so I can only speculate as to the process, but I think there are a bunch of variables that you need to check off when adding a new topic. I think going back to fix those omissions is more difficult than the initial input would have been.

The last tweak that Matt made fixed visibility on my end, so hopefully it's just another quick tweak to get "members" viewing and posting access on par with "moderators" (at least in THAT forum)

Sorry guys!

EDIT: Try one more time! Matt just emailed me
