Day 28 and I feel with no energy

Hi everyone,

 

I've posted in other place that I still did not feel much of the benefits of the whole 30, and the worst part of it is that I feel with no energy. Here you have one of my typical menu-day , maybe I am making something wrong:

 

Meal 1: half avocado + 2 eggs + 1 tomato + kiwi (some days instead of eggs I have smoked salmon)

Meal 2: Tuna salad (lettuce , tomato, carrots, half apple, almonds, tuna and olives )

Meal 3: pepper filled with meat, onions, tomato sauce, aubergine.

 

I really followed all the rules. I will continue 2 more weeks maybe ....

I'm sorry you aren't feeling energetic. I actually am going through the same thing (day 26 for me) and no real benefits yet, not even weight loss - my clothes are just as tight and my belly is bloated.

In reading your meals, I wonder if you might not be eating enough fat. Maybe consider adding some more to each meal.

Also I noticed you have one or more nightshades in each meal. Have you ever considered you might be allergic? They can cause sensitivity in some people. You might want to replace your tomatoes, aubergine, and any others with another vegetable and see what happens.

The one thing I would add is that your meals sound small. If you do not eat enough, not only will you tend to be tired, you will also tend not to lose weight because your metabolism slows to compensate for your body not getting enough nourishment. Add more protein, more fat, and more veggies. And make the added veggies starchy ones like sweet potato, parsnips, rutabagas, plantains, etc.

Thanks for asking, I start to add more of this veggies, but I did not notice any difference. ;(

Your meals look extremely small.

Can you give us some idea of portion sizes? Have you seen the template (linked in my signature below). When eggs are your sole source of protein, it's as many as you can hold in your hand without dropping... for most people that starts at 3-4. 2 eggs a tomato and half an avocado would make me crazy if that's all I ate for my first meal.

If you're having trouble eating more at each meal, ditch the fruit and add veg in its place.

How much water are you drinking? The recommendation is 1/2 oz per pound of body weight, so a 100 pound person would drink 50 oz of water.

I cannot eat more, I feel completly satisfy with this amounts. I drink more than 2 litres water per day. I do exercise everyday (aprox 1 hour). I had start taking Magnesium supplement, and I hope I will start to note that in a few weeks. I am comming from a purely Mediterranean dieat, maybe I did not notice such a big changes because I was not eating very very bad. But still feeling without energy and also not a lot of weight lose.
