Stomach attack

I ate some brown rice, quinoa mix yesterday, just a little bit and I feel like I am being attacked!  This was with a stir fry of chicken and veggies in coconut oil with curry powder and ginger, which I have eaten many times before.  I immediately began to feel nauseous and had pain in my esophagus.  Lots of burning and burping ensued plus my tongue was burning.  I had previously take prilosec for a few years but quit after about a week of Whole 30 with no side effects.  I did notice a little indigestion at night after reintro of sourdough bread a few days ago.  So I decided that was out.  But this attack is like the worse I have ever felt of acid reflux. I am not sure if I want to try anything else ever and I am not sure if this will go away.  I took some digestive enzymes and a prilosec when it seemed like there was just too much pain.  It is a little better this morning but I have not tried eating anything yet. What do I do now?

Eat some gentle things you know you're okay with. I like white mashed potato if my stomach is cranky, or a blended smooth soup.

I get stomach aches from brown rice, it's the seed coating on the rice for me. White rice I'm okay with.

Rice (grains in general) can be hard to digest and can also require more water, so make sure you're not overfilling your stomach too.

Don't Reintro anything else until you feel normal again.

It went away after 48 hours.  Everything seems way better.  I guess brown rice is really out for me, who would of thought!  I am somewhat leery about trying anything else if other food attack me like that.  But it would be better to know what irritates my gut. Heading off for a ski trip for a couple days, what a chore with trying to stay compliant.

So, I have isolated what is continuing the reflux and stomach pain.  It may have started with rice but is continuing with Natural Calm, a powdered magnesium supplement.  I thought it helped but have found that cutting it out has really reduced the night time pain.  I need to find a new source of magnesium as it really helped the restless leg but I really can't take it if I can't sleep because of stomach pain.  I am considering just using the magnesium oil on my skin.
