AmandaPratt
Hello! I started my first day of Whole30 and I ate what I consider a pretty large breakfast and as I sit here at lunch I am not hungry AT ALL. I've been a low cal, always starving dieter my whole life so i'm feeling really nervous and apprehensive about eating the right amount of food. Did I eat too much at breakfast, is that why i'm not hungry for lunch? This is what I had: A veggie hash containing sweet potatoes, butternut squash, spinach, bell pepper & asparagus (about two spatulas worth) One 3 oz sausage 2 eggs I would love some insight so that I plan my upcoming meals properly for the rest of the time. Thank you so much!!
Moderators ultrarunnergirl Posted February 1, 2016 Moderators Share Posted February 1, 2016 That Meal 1 sounds PRACTICALLY PERFECT! Nice work! Did you add any fat, or just what you cooked your food in? Eggs and sausage do have a decent amount fat so you might not need to add more in this case (If you had chosen chicken breast as your protein instead, you'd probably need to add a little). I wouldn't worry at all about not being hungry yet. It takes a few days for your appetite to regulate itself. You should be able to go 4 - 5 hours before you get hungry once your body has adapted to your improved way of eating. If, after a week or so of W30 eating, you still aren't hungry for Meal 2 five hours after eating Meal 1, you might want to eat slightly less. But it's not a big deal or wrong. This way of eating, it's pretty difficult to overeat whole foods.

I guess i'll keep going the way I am
