Whole 30 and T25

Hey all,

I've tried searching the forums but couldn't find threads on this. Has anyone out there done the T25 program while on whole 30? I'm curious about what kind of results you saw and whether you felt like it was a good work out regime to compliment the Whole 30 nutrition. I find the success stories really motivating and have been searching the web for this combo but haven't found anything specific so thought I'd ask here. I just started T25 and am on day 7 of what I plan to be a whole 60.

Also- did you find a post w/o snack necessary when doing T25 considering it's a short (albeit it intense) workout? I kind of feel like I'm undoing my work when I eat after a workout, especially since I'm fairly overweight so I doubt my body will starve. ;)

Thanks for any stories/experiences!

The post workout meal doesn't have to be huge, but it is important for recovery. I do either Les Mills GRIT (a 30-minute HIIT class) or the 25 minute WOD offered where I go to Crossfit 3 times a week and even though it isn't a long workout I get shaky if I don't have a couple bites of chicken and sweet potato (It's usually 1 little chicken tenderloin and 3-4 bites of sweet potato).

  • 2 weeks later...

I am on day 24 of my first whole 30 and have been doing T25. My first week was awful and I ended up taking week two off. I got back on it last week and have felt great and have been able to not have to follow Tania as much anymore! I always have a post workout meal/snack. Even though it's a short workout it's very intense and I have to refuel my body. Even if I only have time to eat a larabar or half a sweet potato, I make myself eat something!! It will definitely help your recovery and help your muscle soreness as well if you are having a little something.
