nutmegh
Ok so I'm ranting here. This is my third Whole30 and its Friday, day 6. Sunday start after a fun night out the night before. Rough but we pushed through and ate clean. Monday comes and we are kicked out of the house due to water issues for the next three days. I have two toddlers as well, did I mention that? Managed to cook what I could and still eat clean. In the meantime major PMS and wine withdrawal (toddlers), now period and major cravings with a fresh bout of sickness from my youngest that started this morning. I ask myself, why am I doing this? It's not so much the food, it's the constant cooking for myself, kids, and husband who has decided to run a marathon and eats like crazy! I feel like I can't keep up and I want to give up just to have one night off. Ugh, ok, I'm done. Feel better. Thanks!

Doge1117
Uh, big props to you for sticking it out! Hope your husband can help take some of the weight off your shoulders. Be good to yourself.
Xandra
Actually, this sounds to me like a great start. If you can handle stress like this without derailing, you can do anything. Nice work!
nutmegh
Thanks all..made it through the weekend and still going strong..and yes..my husband pitched in this weekend which helped a ton. Thanks for the encouragement! Sorry about the wrong forum. But now, there is more mental clarity as a wonderful side effect of the Whole30! Happy eating everyone! praxisproject
Wow, you did great under trying circumstances! Count this as a NSV! This might not work for everyone, but I find one of the best things I can do for myself on a Whole30 is do enough bulk cooking on the weekend (which is when I have more prep time) that I can take one weekday off cooking (all three meals just a reheat - I like to do this on Wednesday). I do all my cooking, so I otherwise don't get any cooking "time off".
