Allig1029
I started my Whole30 on Feb 1st and have been feeling under the weather the past two days with a sore throat, post-nasal drip, and fatigue. I tried sleeping it off, but is it alright to take Airborne? Are medications for colds allowed on the Whole30?
Summeradele
I would try ginger and lemon hot water and drink lots and lots of water. I had a bad caugh/ cold my first week of whole30 and my body eventually fought it off on its own with rest and lots of fluids.
Moderators Tom Denham Posted February 9, 2016 Moderators Share Posted February 9, 2016 No you cannot take Airborne because it is not medication and it includes off-plan ingredients. And there is no evidence it works. Take a look at the Wikipedia article about it - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Airborne_(dietary_supplement)
praxisproject
If I'm feeling under the weather, I like extra vitamin C, extra magnesium, extra sleep and lemongrass & ginger tea. For sinus things: plain steam, hot drinks and foods like pepper, chilli and garlic in recipes are helpful for many. Although my instinct is often to not eat much, I find my recovery is much better when I eat to the template, but my portions are sometimes a little smaller as I'm not very active.
