hungrybruno
I impulse-bought a container of nutritional yeast at the store last week and I have no idea what to do with it! I know I can't make cashew cheese out of it (and that honestly holds zero appeal, anyway) But I'm kinda stumped! Tell me what you use it for? Moderators ShannonM816 Posted February 12, 2016 Moderators Share Posted February 12, 2016 I've never used it myself, but I've heard of people putting it in scrambled eggs to get a kind of cheesy flavor.
kirkor
When I had it (can't remember why I bought some, but a little goes a long way so I ended up with a bunch extra) I would add it to tuna salads and other salad-type things.
hungrybruno
Thanks, guys! I'll try it on my eggs this weekend and see how I like it. Will also report back if I find other uses
loobylifts
I like it sprinkled over salads, roasted veggies, on top of soups for an extra flavour
Christabel
It's awesome on kale chips. Especially with some chili powder and garlic powder.

tabinekotaro
When I was in my former vegan life (thankfully recovered now!), I used nutritional yeast extensively to give things an eggy, cheesy, or chicken-y flavor. Now that I eat animal products, I don't really need it as a flavor enhancer. It might be good sprinkled with some salt on veggies or mashed into a potato dressed in ghee. Do you have cats? Cats love nutritional yeast as a treat or sprinkled on top of their food. The only time recently I have wished I had some in the cupboard was when I had a picky or sick cat who didn't want to eat.
