How to avoid carbs while doing the Whole30 pregnant

Recommended Posts

I'm about 13 weeks with baby #2. I did my last Whole30 around this time last year and didn't have too much of a problem giving up bread, crackers, etc. I'm worried that this time will be a lot harder with pregnancy. I've been maxing out on GF toast and peanut butter and eating tons of GF crackers, which I know isn't the best food choices...so I'm really passionate about doing another Whole30 and getting back on track. Anyone have any good tips on snacks or meals that helped them deal with nausea and food aversions? I'm thinking going heavy on the sweet potatoes should help but looking for any other good insights or tips. Thanks!

Ginger is usually good for soothing upset stomachs like with morning sickness. I love it in teas or stir fries or Asian food in general.

I never had really bad food aversions in pregnancy, so I am uncertain how to help you there. My cravings have been whole foods (water melon with my daughter, and loads of veggies roasted with this kid)
