Problematic symptoms

Hello, this is day 32 for me. I haven't had an opportunity to post my first reintroduce day log yet. It was compliant except for the reintro of natural peanut butter. I didn't notice anything yesterday but today feel "sinusy". I have read the website the daily emails, the Whole30, and it starts with food. Most symptoms besides the inflammatory response seem to be gastrointestinal. Could my symptoms be related to the peanut butter?. It's spring here in the south and the pollen is everywhere . After reintro, I plan on doing another Whole30, so I guess if the same thing happens then I will know for sure. I have found I prefer almond butter, but am curious of the range of symptoms one might experience. Thanks in advance for any insight.

Yup.

Respiratory

Gastrointestinal

Inflammatory

The three biggest physical symptoms of intolerance - probably in that order...

JMCBN, Great. thanks for the quick reply, I am sure as i go through this again some of it may be clearer, but since i know now I don't  love peanut butter, why bother!  Interesting enough i have a lot of sinus issues often after I eat so this self discovery is going to be very interesting.

  • 2 weeks later...

On day 34 (today)  I made some great Almond Flour pancakes.  Usually I would top them with strawberries but running late and decided I would try 2 T of pure maple syrup.  By 10 am I had the worst gas pains and it has been hard to shake them all day.  Simethecone and hot tea haven't done it.  I guess maple syrup is too intense on the sugar.  I think I'll go back to compliance.

Has this happened to others?

Honestly, I would suspect the almond flour more than the sugar. I don't know how much you used but I would imagine even 1/4 of a cup is a lot of almonds which are notorious for being tough on the digestive system. I don't believe sugar tends to cause gas pains like that especially a small amount as in the maple syrup you used. Just a thought. I know almond flour is approved but you did make a swypo type meal, ok since you're past he thirty days but still maybe too much on your digestive system.
