Help with Motivation

Recommended Posts

I've completed three strict whole 30 challenges in the last year. While I enjoyed each one and the benefits I reaped, the habits have not stuck. I feel "whole30-ed" out. After spending 1/4 of this last year planning, meal prepping, and cooking, I have no motivation to do it anymore, let alone even think about starting another whole 30. While I do eat much better since I began my whole 30 journey, I'm at my heaviest weight right now (not overweight at all). My grocery trips are 90% whole foods (I avoid grains and processed foods now), but I just bring it home and it ends up rotting because I eat out instead because I don't feel like cooking. Any suggestions? How can I enjoy making good foods for myself again?

A Whole 30 requires some cooking.  There are Grab N Go Whole 30's.  You can live out of tuna/salmon/mackerel/herring cans, deli salad greens/chopped vege mixes, frozen vege, deli hard boiled eggs, steaks for the grill, white and sweet pots for the micro.

This may be enough until Kittia gets her groove back.  After days or weeks, it may be enough to spur you back into the kitchen and put those groceries to good use before they rot.coffee1-smiley.gif?1292867572

Did you ever do reintros?

I'm wondering if you knew better what you can & can't eat without issue if you could put together your own eating plan - a WholeKittia if you like - that wouldn't feel just as restrictive as a Whole30 seems to do so for you right now having completed three already.

Whole30 was never meant to be a 'WholeForever', but rather a gateway to your own version of food freedom, which can only be freeing if the foods that you eat don't bring you down...
