tulsanurse1
My daughter is finishing the first week on W30 and her dishydrotic eczema is driving her crazy. Will anything help this and will it get better?
Karen_Suep
For some, things get worse before they get better. What has she been eating in relation to the meal template
tulsanurse1
I am not sure but I do know she is following to a T. And exercising. I was wondering if 30 exacerbates eczema.
jmcbn
The only way Whole30 would exacberate your daughter's eczema would be if she is eating something that aggravates it - even if it is compliant - without knowing what exactly she is eating we couldn't possibly say.Nightshades (potatoes, tomatoes, peppers etc) are a common culprit in skin conditions, as can nuts, dried fruits, and sometimes coconut milk... praxisproject
Before doing any reintroductions, she might want to try eliminating some known rash-inducing things and see if it goes away (this will be more difficult during reintroductions as new things will be added): Fruit Nuts Nightshades Coconut It doesn't mean she can't ever eat any of these items, it may be just one things that triggers it, like banana or almonds. Fruit and nuts are common culprits and it can be load induced, if you've eaten them before, but not at the Whole30 load.
LydiaJo
She may be eliminating toxins thru her skin. Encourage her to drink lots of water.
