Shangria
I've been doing really well following the meal template...tonight was my first time trying ground beef. I made that sheapard's pie recipe from the Whole30 Book...with the sweet potato on top? I literally ate 3/4 of the pan, and had to force myself to stop. What gives? Isn't that excessive?! QuilterInVA
You can definitely eat too much. I fill my plate in the kitchen and put the leftovers away before I eat. If I feel I need more food, I have more veggies.
Moderators ShannonM816 Posted May 17, 2016 Moderators Share Posted May 17, 2016 Were you hungry? Or were you eating because you were bored or upset or angry or some other reason? If you were hungry, don't worry about it too much, although if it happens repeatedly, you might look into increasing the size of your other meals. If it was an emotional reaction, try to think about what you were feeling and why, and come up with a plan to deal with that in the future in a way that doesn't involve food -- talking to a friend, journaling about your feelings, going for a walk. If you want some feedback on if your meals are looking good, you can post a couple of days' worth, including approximate portion sizes as it relates to the meal template. Shangria
Hey! Thanks for the response! I can't tell…I haven't had the problem with any other meal instead of that one recipe. Maybe I really really liked it, or maybe my lunch was not substantial enough. I have no clue. I guess I can try to eat the leftovers tomorrow and see if it happens again.
