Ruthk
I had a heart attack three months ago...not related to cholesterol. Generally eat clean but since being home having way too many carbs. With this new cardiac history is there anything specific I need to be mindful of when doing the whole30. Haven't made the decision yet.

Moderators SugarcubeOD Posted May 17, 2016 Moderators Share Posted May 17, 2016 You really should take the program rules and recommendations to your cardiologist. No one here is a medical professional and it would be irresponsible for us to try and advise you on such medical issues. I've also moved your post to Whole30 with medical conditions for a better fit. praxisproject
Must talk with your cardio! I find doctors are supportive of Whole30 when it's presented as: unprocessed food, lots of vegetables (you can take the PDF printouts) as this is something they all generally agree on. If you do go ahead, I would recommend getting some baseline tests done before you start, so you can get some "after" tests done before Reintroductions and see if your numbers improve and whether you want to delay Reintroductions if your cardio wants you to hit any particular numbers.
