Can I eat something if it's late?

Yes, if you're hungry enough it would distract you and keep you from being able to sleep, have something. Try to have a mini meal of some protein, fat, and vegetables, or at least two of the three, just smaller servings than a full meal. Do pay attention to if it affects your sleep at all -- if you find you're not sleeping as well on nights you have food that late, you might be better off having a larger supper or a mini meal earlier than when you get home. If you're prone to heartburn or acid reflux, note that eating too close to bed time can make that worse.
