Puckertoe
I'm craving fat. I've just made ghee, and to be quite honest I could have dived in and splashed about in it. Now it's cooling and I'm wanting to drink it. I made Mayo too and could have scoopped it up and eaten it. Is this just a normal craving for day 5 or should I eat more fat? Puckertoe
Thanks. I will. I won't drink the ghee though. ;-)
Carlaccini
Personally I know when I'm too low fat I start craving bacon. I also crave cheese. But I don't eat cheese - or dairy for that matter. But this is how I know that my next meal should have some more fat in it. So definitely add more ghee and/or mayonnaise to your next meal - just don't drink the stuff (I've had this craving too)
SpunkyBug
About a year before I discovered the Whole30, my doctor tested my cholesterol and it was high. I was determined to bring it down with diet alone, so I cut my daily fat intake down to next to nothing. I brought my cholesterol down, but I was famished all the time. I couldn't stop thinking about butter (I didn't know about ghee yet). I'm so glad I found the Whole30, because eating super low-fat was simply not sustainable. Puckertoe
I ate extra fat yesterday and it worked as today I'm not craving fat anymore. And I've got plenty of energy. I'm never sure wether craving bacon is for the saltyness with me.
