Daisy Carrington
I made the Whole30 mayo and it tastes bad. Could it be the oil? Or am I just not used to it? The ingredients were fresh. Suggestions?

Daisy Carrington
I just remade it with extra light olive oil and it tastes great. I think the olive oil was too strong/biter. Thanks!
Crastney
agreed, I made some with a mix of EVOO and walnut oil (as that was all we had available), and sea salt - it tasted really salted, just after making it, but after 24 hours in the fridge it tasted ok. not great, but certainly better than I thought it was going to be, after first tasting it. I'll get used to it, and then make it using LOO next time. * LOO - Light Olive Oil, first time I typed that I LoL'd !
TinaH2016
I just made it, used a meyer lemon. Learned that 1/2 lemon is very subjective. Mine is quite lemony - but it is good. I think we will use it as a dressing for salad, maybe kick it up a notch with some spices.
