Shangria
Hi! I cannot believe my Day 30 is tomorrow. I still have not fully decided if I'd like to continue on with a Whole45. I'm pretty happy with life right now, although that remains to be seen after I get on the scale. I made a list of the foods that I miss, and it's quite quite small: truvia in a coffee in the morning, some alcohol here or there, and that's pretty much it. I'm not missing grains, beans, dairy, and all the other heavy-hitters that I freaked out about before I started. I'm pretty afraid of what I'll be like after reintroduction, so I'd like to hold off as long as I can. At the same time, why not enjoy my truvia if I want it? Any advice? So confused! I think it's harder to finish this then to start ti!
praxisproject
Planning Reintroductions really helps You don't have to reintroduce everything all at once (slow roll Reintroduction), but keep in mind at Day 30 you're a clean machine with a clean baseline, adding single items now makes it obvious how you're feeling after eating them. Sometimes we think we can go longer, but if you end up having something with a number of non-compliant ingredients all at once, you'll be in a bit of a pickle. If you're in no hurry for example, you could: Add truvia one week, alcohol the next. You don't have to add anything back that you'll never eat again, but if you think you might, it's a good idea to reintroduce it in a controlled way, so you know how you feel if you choose to have it. MaureenC
Today is day 30 for me, too! I am really thankful for the tangible health benefits and a new mindfulness. I'm so grateful I found the plan and learned so much about metabolism and food digestion. Like you, I don't have any real cravings. I won't backslide because I slayed too many unhealthy habits. Why undo all that progress? Only thing I want is to sweeten my coffee in the morning. I may use honey come to think of it. I have a small bag of sugar in my pantry. It's been untouched since April 11.
Shangria
So nice to hear that you feel the same way! I honestly don't miss most of the old foods that I used to eat all the time. I really feel like with just one packet of truvia, I could eat this way long long term. But I agree, if I foresee issues coming up, I'll have to plan and reintroduce prior, as I really would want to know if the individual ingredients were culprits. praxisproject
I used to have a lot of Splenda before my first Whole30, but I've found it brings with it things I don't want, sugar cravings, headaches, not feeling good. You won't know for sure until you do reintroductions
