Raumali
I have never had sour cream in my life. I was thinking of making cashew sour cream and add a bit of it to one of my daily meals for my fat source. Is that allowed or is it considered SWYPO? I generally have a handful of cashews in one meal but I wanted to spice things up a bit. PS - Avocadoes are hard to find here and I don't like mayonnaise/ranch, so I am really tight with my fat options
jmcbn
Nuts really aren't our best fat source to be honest. They are particularly high in omega 6 fatty acids of which most of us get more than enough, and we'd recommend no more than a closed handful of nuts every other day, max as they can be pretty hard on the digestive system, so SWYPO or not I'm not sure this is a good idea.... DO you have a link to a recipe? Have you looked at using ghee or other animal fats such as lard, tallow, duck/goose fat etc? Or opting for fatty cuts of meat? ArtFossil
Mayonnaise can be flavored in lots of ways, as can clarified butter or ghee. Then there is coconut, or one of my favorites, olives. There are so many fats you can have, there's no reason to confine yourself to nuts.
