AngieGoy
My boyfriend is starting a new job and it has always been a tradition for us to celebrate every new job with a sushi dinner. Now I, and he knows, that this one will be different than normal. I know I have to stick to green tea and shashimi (no rice). I also know I cannot really trust any of the sauces from the restaurant. I have read about bringing coconut aminos to replace the soy sauce. What I am wondering about is the wasabi. I love some wasabi on my sushi, but most of the stuff we get in America is a processed paste with no actual wasabi in it. I was looking to buy some compliant wasabi but most of what I found has lactose or other additives that I'm not sure are okay. Does anyone know of any I can get that is compliant? Thanks! laura_juggles
Most American wasabi is basically colored horseradish, so if you can find a prepared horseradish that's compliant, you could bring that along too. It won't be exactly the same flavor, but it'll be that bite you're used to.
