Alaska Woman
I made chicken cacciatore and plan to pour some of the juice over roasted potatoes and green beans for my dinner. I'm just wondering with all the fat from the chicken skin and the 4 T of fat the meat was browned in, it's pretty well swimming in fat, so should I skip a serving of fat with the meal? Moderators SugarcubeOD Posted April 12, 2017 Moderators Share Posted April 12, 2017 You want 1-2 thumbs of oil... if you can get a thumb of oil and eat some chicken skin you should be fine. The template is a guide/suggestion and doesn't cover every possible scenario but you've been doing this a while now and know that you need to eat fat with your meal and not to skimp so I think you can make a plate with this meal that matches the template
