Fruit, regardless of how it's prepared, is never recommended to be eaten on it's own. So, playing Devil's Advocate here - Why do you need snack options like apple rings when the you can just eat real food? ETA: These are commercially prepared so even if they're not 'chips' IMHO they're off limits.
