Stacie0725
I have a question about a medication I'm taking. I'm on day 6 of the whole30 and haven't taken this medication because it has lactose in it. It's prescribed by the doctor and I really should be taking it, as it keeps my prolactin level in check. Can I still take this medicine and continue to have the benefits of the whole30? Moderators ShannonM816 Posted May 8, 2017 Moderators Share Posted May 8, 2017 Doctor's orders always trump Whole30 rules. You should definitely take anything that your doctor has prescribed. You will probably still see benefits from doing Whole30. If you wanted to, when it comes time to refill the prescription you could talk to your doctor or pharmacist to see if there's a version of the medicine that would be compliant, but you don't have to.
