cwax
I am not a big egg lover. I have been eating a variety of berries- raspberry, blackberry, cherry, and a banana. Is this a no no ?
Moderators ShannonM816 Posted May 19, 2017 Moderators Share Posted May 19, 2017 It's not against the rules, but you'll get the best results if all of your meals match the meal template, with protein, fat, and lots of veggies. That doesn't have to be eggs, though. Soup, salmon cakes, burger patties, chicken,or anything else you could eat for any other meal works just fine for your first meal of the day as well. If you can find them aidells chicken apple sausages are DELICIOUS! There are other brands that have chicken/apple sausages too you just have to check the ingredients. One of those chopped up and sautéed in ghee paired with roasted sweet potato cubes and a serving of avocado is a really good egg free breakfast! cristinamt
I agree. The Aidell's chicken apple sausages are delicious. I can't comment on other brands since I haven't had them. Oh, and the sausages are pre-cooked so it cuts down on prep time too.

slc_melissa
https://whole30.com/downloads/whole30-meal-planning.pdf The fats section can be kind of confusing to people - it's not add every fat at every meal, it's choose one to some of these fats to add to a meal. (Like two open handfuls of olives OR an avocado. Or one open handful of olives AND a half of an avocado.)
