About Me

I'm a married mother of three. I'm a RN, but right now I am a SAHM and I love it. I am 45 years old.

First Whole30 February 2012. Tried to adopt Paleo diet after losing 30 lbs last fall. Old habits came back.

Have been working with a personal trainer 3x/week since February. Up 20 lbs since first Whole30, some of it muscle. My body fat % is up since February, however I am actually happier with my body now than I was 20 lbs ago. Hoping to get just a little leaner and a little stronger during my next Whole30.

Whole30 #2 is all about adopting this eating plan for life. I am a nibbler/grazer/snacker. A finish your plate kind of girl. Processed carbs are not my friend. Want to focus on eating real meals for this Whole30. Also want to significantly limit snacking.

I put my big girl panties on and began Whole30 #2 July 31st. My mindset is much different than last time. I'm sure I will learn and grow a lot from this Whole30.

And I am also sure there is a Whole30 #3 in my future as well. I will repeat rounds of this program from time to time to renew my focus on whole, unprocessed foods and make my new heathly lifestyle a permanent habit.

P.S. My profile picture is my daughter and me completing the Mini Muddy Buddy run in July 2012. My brother and I teamed up earlier in the day for the Chicago Muddy Buddy Run. 4.5 miles of trails and some obstacles before ending with a huge mud pit. We had a blast! Next year we might actually train for it since this year it was a last minute decision to do it. Next year I also want my husband to do the Muddy Buddy Run with me in Atlanta. It's only 3.5 miles of trails... :)
