  1. Day 9 June 1 M1- potato and leek soup with ham and bacon and one egg (not mixed with the soup lol) M2 - potato and leek soup with a cod filet and some broccoli So my schedule swapped today since I dont work so i ate this morning, took a nap, ate again just now, but im probably going back to sleep in a few hours. The nausea is significantly better today so hopefully that means my body is finally figuring out its not gonna be getting gobs and gobs of sugar. I have now realized im willing to give up all sweets for cheese and bread products lol. But I have finally started thin

  2. I am a 46 year old female in good health. No hypertension, diabetes, good weight (I'd like to lose a few more, but you know...), etc... I'm a pretty healthy person EXCEPT for this addiction to sugar which I have and love. Complicate that with the fact that I LOVE to bake. I must be in menopause as I have not had a visit from Aunt Flo since October. Aunt Flo has not stopped by since then, but Cousin lb has been coming consistently since then. Then comes the corona-work-from-home situation and that stress. I went for a physical on 4/30/20. This was my Lipid panel Total Cholestero

  6. I still exist! I just did a ton of heavy yardwork this past week and got to the point where I just staggered into the house, took a shower, and went to bed. No energy for posting. But I did complete the 30 days. Took May 31 off and had rice in my Chipotle - oh, the decadence! So now I return for Whole30, Part 2: The Quest for Not Feeling Like Two Dozen Cookies is a Reasonable Serving (the title's a bit awkward, I'll work on that). I feel like the cravings are going to hit harder this time around. May Whole30 was easy ... too easy.

  7. I'm just gonna say that peas and poached eggs (as separate food experiences) are two of life's great pleasures, aren't they? Hope the weather warms up for you soon.

  8. Food journal from 6/1/20: Breakfast: 2 egg scrambled in olive oil, coffee with cashew milk Lunch: Roasted chicken + mashed cauliflower + steamed broccoli with Primal Kitchen teriyaki sauce Dinner: Spaghetti squash + meatballs + spaghetti sauce I actually started my food revolution on 5/30/20, so it's been a few days. Right on time, a mild headache is brewing. It's like my body is crying out for potato chips and M&Ms. Fortunately, before all this happened, I tossed all the primo junk food into the garbage. Yep, I tossed the name brand stuff. The potato chips that cost $4

  9. @patrickjohn Welcome! You've made an excellent choice to do a Whole30! Good luck and I'll be cheering you on! I just finished 30 days but am continuing to June 10 before reintroductions, so I'll be here to watch as you rack up those victories Shadow

  10. hi @patrickjohn ! My original start date was going to be the first but then i just figured F* it and started last sunday. Like you the sugar dragon and the mental clarity are huge issues for me and I am actually shocked at my lack of overall sugar cravings (cheese is apparently my true love ive learned). The forums have so much information and the people are super friendly and supportive. Happy thoughts for your day 1

  11. Day 27.... I think I had more energy on Thursday and Friday this week. Today was filled with a lot of naps though. But I woke up much earlier than I typically do on a Saturday. My sleep still isn't where I'd like it to be but I do think it is improved from before this round of Whole30. Still see pictures or advertisements for non compliant foods and have cravings but able to move past it. However, I am definitely going to keep eating compliant for a total of at least 60 days (maybe 90). We'll see. I am excited to weigh in and measure next week and see those results. I had a dream last

  12. Good luck! I've thankfully managed to keep about 50lbs off so far during my entire weight loss journey over the past couple of years, but it's not easy and I've definitely fluctuated! I started another reset on Wednesday with the intention of it at least being a Whole7 plus reintro and see how I feel, but I feel SO much better I may just go the whole 30 days again... three rounds in a row!

  13. I had the same problem, talked my Dr about it and she prescribed a second one (taking both - 1 in AM, 1in PM) and it solved the problem, so maybe you could check with your Doc? Just a suggestion. I like to eat my burgers wrapped in lettuce. VERRRRY messy but oh-so-delish! https://40aprons.com/whole30-in-n-out-burgers/ this is tasty and the pics are gorgeous, I haven't managed to get mine to look that good but they taste great. I prefer to eat them this way and may never go back to eating them on a white bun again.

  14. I picked up some thin cheap cuts of steak today! Probably wont get a chance to do anything with it till the weekend go. I feel ya on the burger patty and green beans lol that simple is basically all I've been doing this week. Three days down *highfive*

  15. @stealthstitcher @Blueautumn I'm with you both on the "its end of the 30 days what do I do now I just want to eat a cookie." My plan is to go W30 for 40 days, then try a modified version of reintroductions. I just know that it will be waaaay too easy to give in to all the good stuff total junk foods out there that will lead to unravelling all the work I've done so far. But I have also learned through a few false W30 starts over the winter that I am able to bring myself back to my healthy habits without too much trouble. Of course it was always after I spent days devouring all the junk.

  16. I have monster snacking and munching cravings. My original plan right now is to go into a 60 or 90 day depending on what my cravings look like and whether or not i can avoid going down a rabbit hole. I want to do a very slow reintroduction that will probably be over that time span anyway and then go into off road planning. So i fully anticipate being on it for the 90 days for the most part because i know how easy it is for me to fall back into the hole and I need to get that sugar dragon as small as possible. I think if you find that you can avoid your personal traps then you should be fine to
