  1. Hello all! I am gearing up for this year's September Whole30 which starts on Monday, Sept. 14. I have most of the week's meals planned and will do my shopping and prepping over the weekend. I am committed to this next 30 days. Everything hurts, and I have needed to start taking anti-depressant meds again. I have minimal energy and my creative side seems to have left me. Welcome to all who are also starting on the 14th.

  2. Day .... I don't even know. I just know I'm getting close. At some point I will count again and figure out my Day 30. I've had a hard time finding time to get on the forum to track. I also stopped tracking in Day by Day. Work has been busy and the dogs are running me ragged and life just happens. I'm glad to be "almost done," but by the same token I have really enjoyed the structure and will probably stay with that for a while even after reintroduction. So ... breakfast today was leftover pork loin with gravy, sweet potatotes and some delicata squash. I couldn't even finish and

  3. I'm with you! This week I have been extremely exhausted and I have been eating plenty of starchy carbs....that said, the smoke here in Colorado is bad, has been bad for months with the wildfires and we got new carpet installed at work...so lots of fumes and chemicals and poor air quality going on. I went to bed at 8pm last night and slept until 5:30 this morning! Today i feel fantastic and still going strong. My co-worker wanted to pick me up a fancy coffee drink on her way in and I had the will to politely decline, because I had just brewed an herbal tea. I'm a bit frustrated because I'm

  4. Day 31 I picked up Food Freedom Forever yesterday and have nearly finished it for the second time. There's really some good, helpful stuff in there, especially as it supports the need to do reintroductions every time you do a W30 reset. I most certainly will do so eventually. Either in December, when I have completed my 105 days; or, if I feel like celebrating my birthday and T-Gives (both in the same week) with a glass of wine, I may end my W30 then just for that, and then continue on with my W30 macros experiment at least through December as planned. Time will tell. I'm finally sta

  5. Apparently, making it past week 3 is extremely difficult. I have noticed other people saying they made it to day 23 or so. I am sure you will make it this time. I have planned out one week of meals but it is changing a little because my husband is doing a liquid/mush/soft diet after oral surgery and he didn't realize it until I asked the day before his surgery. As a result my week 1 will probably stretch two weeks or almost. I officially started today but I have been playing around with it for 10 days before committing. I also had to make sure I have all my ingredients and was trying to finis

  8. I don't think this is the real Whole30 version of It Starts With Food. Whole30 is not and has never been a weight loss program, and anything you find that touts things like "101 Secrets for Weight Loss Success" is just not in keeping with the program. I highly recommend you find a copy of the real ISWF (https://whole30.com/itstartswithfood/ has links to purchase, or talk to your librarians about getting the real one).

    First Whole30

Hello all, I am brand new to whole30. I have been dealing with chronic migraines since I was 10 years old. Lately, my headaches are worse, more frequent, and I feel like my brain is foggy all of the time. As a second year doctoral student, I really need my brain to be functioning at 100%. I also suffer from joint pain and poor sleep. I have recently gained weight from being in quarantine and being chronically stressed out. I have tried several "diets" but what I want...they cannot give me. I want to feel good again. I want to be able to function without pain meds. Today is Day 0 for me so

  12. Hi! I just started yesterday. This is my 3rd, although I have a few Whole-not-quite-30s under my belt, too. I don’t know if they have updated the testimonials in newer editions of It Starts With Food, but in the original edition, they used my testimony at the head of chapter 7. The Whole30 literally changed my life. I have been through some trials in recent years and had fallen into bad eating and fitness habits again, but I am woke, and am back to reclaim that amazing health I found with my first Whole30! I look forward to journeying with you, and watching your health soar as mine did and wil

  13. Thank you for joining me here. I have previously attempted Whole30's before. I have made it as far as day 23. This time I WILL make it to day 30 and a proper reintroduction. I seriously need to take better care of myself. With all that's going on in the world right now I need to at least feel in control of what I am eating.

  14. I’m starting the 14th as well. This is my fourth round. I just moved from Colorado to Arizona with my family. There’s been a lot of eating out and quick eats during the transition and I need a reset and refocus big time! My skin hates me and my clothes are nice and snug! I am so ready for some routine and consistency in my life. And good-healthy food!
