    Looking for a support group!

    I'm officially derailed. I celebrated a birthday and friends took me out to eat and I tried to stay gluten free but I'm not sure everything was. I ended up having a glass of wine too. I am hoping to start again tomorrow, Sunday the 13th. It may not work with Thanksgiving but I'm going to have to just keep continuing until I get a good continuous 30 days. I know January and or February will be easier but I don't want to wait. Even without the success of continuous 30 days I have had great success with creating new habits and decreased pain, especially in my legs and hands. All in all it's been a great learning process and I feel like I'm making progress to food freedom. Hows everyone else doing? Some of you are at 30 days tomorrow!!!! So exciting! I look forward to hearing how things have changed.

    @EmilyJR I think my addiction to nuts and nut butters has overshadowed my NSV's. I'm finishing off the whole30 with no nut butters and hopefully will continue whole30 after the 30 days. I'd like to do another whole30 in the new year without nut butters and maybe without nuts completely. I definitely feel good about this whole30. I've learned a lot.

    @Kallista I'm sorry to see you go but I totally get it. I'm so curious how whole30 is different than the way you were previously eating? Seems like your previous diet was pretty close. I'm struggling. I can't seem to stay away from nut butters.

    @Kallista, I'm sorry about the bloating and feeling like you've gained 10lbs. I'm definitely bloated but my clothes are fitting better so although my tummy/gut seems bloated and swollen I'm feeling lighter. Hang in there! I wish I had advice for you. @Mountaingirl9, I'm so tired of thinking about food too! Im on a road trip and seriously anxious about the food for the trip. I made it through today and just hope I make it tomorrow. I'm having an easier time during the week but I've kept it simple and mainly eat the same thing over and over. Also it seems odd that your performance hasn't improved cause based on what I've read your endurance and stamina would improve. I do think maybe it's a waiting game and we just need to stick with it through day 30 to know for sure. Day 21-feeling lighter but definitely crampy and bloated. Trying to be patient as hopefully my body is going through changes for the better. My period was very different this month too. And I'm still having lots of headaches.

    Day 19 How's everyone doing? I'm super anxious about my weekend. I just found out our hotel doesn't have a microwave or refrigerator. I'm not quite sure how I'll stay compliant. I'm going to do my best and I hope I make it through. I'm doing research now, like how long can a hard boil egg go without being refrigerated? I'm going to try and plan out 6 meals that don't require a refrigerator or microwave. I hope everones doing well!

    @Mountaingirl9, wow, you are doing so well!!! That is serious temptation. Last night, Halloween was like that for me. It was hard and thankfully I made it without eating any candy. The smell and the bright colors are so addictive and bring back such great memories. I now have bags of candy in my house that belongs to my kids and I'm enjoying the food freedom I'm feeling now, this morning--I don't have to eat it! @EmilyJR, I love the idea of the thyroid optimizing, I really hope that's true. I've had a lot of heat waves lately too, especially in the evenings. Day 17-- Im still struggling with a head cold and congestion and it's difficult for me to share how I'm doing cause I actually don't feel all that great but I think it's all this darn virus. I woke up with a terrible headache this morning. Definitely hard for me to get out of bed in the morning. My gut is all bubbly and loud lately-weird! I was in a meeting for work and everyone stopped and stared cause my stomach/gut made such a strange sound. I joked and said I must be hungry, but I wasn't. Otherwise though I'm doing well and feeling good but I think the feel good is from making it to day 17- that feels good!! I hope everyone has a great day! Angela

    Looking for a support group!

    Day 16, halfway there and I'm feeling good. I'm under a lot of stress and it feels good to still be on track with a whole30. My usually self would be stress eating right now. My goals have changed. Although I would still like to pick up running (my initial goal was to run/jog 3x week) between my head cold and a full week ahead it just adds to my stress to think about running. Goals: -clean up my eating...eliminating nut butters unless it's an emergency, cut down on fruit -start posting my food log -Yoga or breathing exercises everyday. -move(walk, run, cycle)when possible and log it with my food. Well, I better go do some breathing and yoga and log my food for today. I hope everyone's having a good evening!

    @kboe, great job and great update! Nice to know it's a possibility at Buffalo Wild Wings. I'm headed out of town next weekend for my sons hockey tournament and I could definitely find myself at a BWW. Welcome @luvmypita! Im thinking of tuning up my whole30 for the second half. Rethinking my goals and controlling my nut and fruit intake. I was also thinking of logging day 16-30 in the food log.

    Are you working out more than normal? Maybe it's muscle?! I say at least give yourself another 5 days. Then you'll be at "tiger blood" hopefully.
