    Hi Rindaloo-
    I can get delivery from Whole Foods through Amazon Prime Now, however- most of their time slots have been completely full whenever I've checked. My husband lucked out once and was able to order a bunch of broccoli, tuna steaks, and some compliant whole30 turkey bacon. So that was a win! But I've mostly just trekked on the bus to Whole Foods. I've only had to go 3 times so far and I got enough stuff this Saturday to hopefully hold me for 2 weeks before I needs to go there again. As long as I make a trip to my local grocery store before then, I should be set for this and next week at least

    Revelate- how's your whole30 going? Are you on Day 20 now? Amazing! Sorry it looks me a while to respond! I didn't start on 4/12, but I DID start today!
    I ended up going to a different Whole Foods location than my previous trip a month ago on Saturday (braved mass transit and took a bus, stayed far away from the only 3 other people on it) and waited outside in a line in the rain for maybe about 10 minutes total. This Whole Foods had literally everything I needed from my list EXCEPT 1 item...which I can make from scratch, I just usually avoid doing that since it's time consuming- but I have all the time in the world now 
    So I prepped my breakfasts and lunches for the week yesterday and I'll make my dinners for the week tonight. Sooo thrilled I was able to find everything I needed and was able to start on time like I had planned. Now I just hope I'm consistently able to find everything I need every week for the next 6 weeks 
    I guess no one else decided to start today if a lot of people started last week, so I may be the only one posting in my own forum, hah!

    I’m cheating haha.  Started April 1st but apparently there’s a Whole Foods / Snapkitchen partnership and I have simply been doing the subscription meal service and picking W30 compliant meals off their menu.  That plus an occasional Chipotle lifestyle bowl for additional sodium and calories, both of which I apparently need right now, and the logistics at least have been smooth.
    They did recently reduce their menu selection and some items are running out (though it may just be first come first serve and I got there much later today than I usually do and the item had Avocado in the name /eyeroll) so I suspect we are finally starting to see some impact in the food supply at least for certain items.
    From the news though many consumers were being more cost conscious rather than health conscious right now: namely there was an uptick in cheaper food and discount grocers were seeing more business.  The counterpoint to that is Whole Foods is probably getting somewhat less business, though with the Amazon delivery services that might not be true.
    Actually that’s what I might do if I were in NYC and worried about public transit (rightfully from what I hear): Whole Foods vis a vis Amazon has a delivery service, probably somewhat more expensive for delivery but that might not only tell you what’s available it might be a good solution too.
    Also I think there’s a big push for #Whole30AtHome starting tomorrow according to the main web page, if you have time might try pushing up the date to what I assume will be a flock of others though sounds like you are fine for motivation being experienced ;).

    Yay Melinaka! Go girl!
    Shakshuka is usually yummy, haha- it's crushed tomatoes, eggs, harissa sauce, garlic, onion, red peppers, some seasoning. For some reason it really upset my stomach this time around- had a horrible upper abdominal acidic feeling. Maybe tomatoes aren't sitting well with me anymore. Anywho- I had my last serving of shakshuka today so I just grilled up 2 burgers to take to work for lunch tomorrow and Friday. Probably will just put them over spinach with some nuts for fat and dressing. Thats pretty much my go-to veggie. I should probably incorporate something else but...I don't feel like testing out a new veggie recipe at this point. I like sticking to what I know and like.
    Your meals may be simple but they sound great! And at this point, I like my stuff to be fast and easy so I'm not cooking while I'm hungry (worst!)
    Melinaka, are you doing reintro? I know you mentioned quinoa is what you miss most...I miss pizza 
    Day 25 tomorrow...here we go!

    Day 30 Day 30 Day 30! Who's stoked the last day has finally arrived / ready to start reintro tomorrow?!
    And I can't help but admit...I'm so ready to jump on that scale tomorrow to see what's come off (if anything!)

    Wrapping up Day 15...halfway point! I made a vile meal for my lunches this week. Super disappointed...I wanted to try something new and the Chicken Hash looked good but it tasted terrible today when I ate it for lunch. I came home and threw out the other 4 servings  Rather than scrounge up another recipe to make, I'm just going to eat red pepper chicken sausage in a spinach salad with walnuts and lemon garlic tessemae's dressing for lunches for the rest of the week. Dinner is salmon cakes and butternut squash soup. Breakfast is my same old same old...hard boiled eggs with sausage and spinach / raspberries / almonds / balsamic vinaigrette and coffee with nutpods.
     
    Anyone going to do the Reintro after the 30 days are up? I did reintro during my first 2 whole30s. Not sure if I feel like doing it this time around. I noticed reactions to certain items when I reintro'd the first time- but second time, I noticed nothing new. So...I feel like I'll have the same reactions this time - so why bother going an additional 15 days, right? Plus I'm supposed to go apple picking on Day 41...and I don't want to wait another 5 days before I make a fresh apple pie from my pickings (is that so bad that I'm already thinking about that?! ) Maybe I'll just do 10 days of reintro and knock out one of the things I would normally reintro (like gluten-free alcohol- which I already know ALWAYS upsets my stomach so no need to reintro that, right?) and just not do full 2 days whole30 after my 4th reintro item...bringing me to 40 days total. I could reintro legumes on day 31, whole30 day 32 & 33, gluten-free grains on day 34, whole30 day 35 & 36, dairy on Day 37, whole30 on 38 & 39, grains with gluten on day 40...and then no whole30 recovery days after cuz I'm gonna eat apple pie on day 41, haha! Aaaaand this is why I gain weight when I'm done with these things *facepalm* Will I ever learn?!

    Yay! I've been neglecting this post because I wasn't being notified of responses- very cool to come back and see so many people have joined with the same start date! How's everyone's Day 5 going? I cooked (in bulk) on Sunday so all my meals this week are the same breakfasts / lunches / dinners. I found myself constantly in the kitchen during my first whole30 and I decided for whole30 #2 I would try to cook 7 days worth of meals in just 1 day and eat the same thing for the week...I knew it might get boring but, at least I felt like I had more of a life, haha! So that's what I'm doing for my 3rd whole30 this time as well. My meals this week were / are:
    Breakfast: hard boiled egg (sometimes 2 if I'm hungrier), 2 slices of turkey bacon or 3 sausage links (whole30 compliant brands from Applegate Farms), and a bowl of spinach, a few raspberries, sliced almonds and a tablespoon of Tessemae's balsamic vinaigrette (also whole30 compliant brand) and a cup of coffee with my pumpkin spice nutpods creamer (another whole30 compliant brand)
    Lunch: Autumn Hash from the Whole30 Cookbook- so yummy...but now that it's Friday and I had it for the past 5 days, I'm over it, haha! Consists of pork meatballs, spinach, sweet onion, apple, almonds, sweet potatoes, scallions, and some salt, pepper, cinnamon, and paprika seasoning. It's one of my favs so I'm sad that I'm bored with it right now...hopefully I can throw it back in the mix in a few weeks.
    Dinner: Bacon Wrapped Chicken with Grilled Pineapple (recipe in Whole30 Cookbook) and garlic mashed potatoes (I'm being more chill with the veggies at dinner this week since I'm having spinach with breakfast and lunch and I am not the biggest fan of veggies...unless they are spinach or peppers, heh).
    Whenever I needed a snack, I would have half an apple with 2 tablespoons of almond butter or I'd have a whole30 hot dog or I'd have a 2nd cup of coffee with nutpods.
    Looking back, I think I may have had too much fruit considering there was a little fruit with each meal- however, most meals I'd say I had way less than a serving of fruit with each. But something I should be aware of with my next meals.
    I need to branch out and add more recipes to the mix- I have about 7 that I love and keep in rotation. Any suggestions?
    Side note: I absolutely hate cauliflower rice...but I also don't care for rice anyway- so I'm not looking for a replacement.
    Thinking my meals next week will be wweet potato chili for lunch and chicken cutlets with bitter greens for dinner (both in whole30 cookbook). Oh and I always eat the same breakfast (see above) even when I'm not doing whole30- guess I never get bored with it?

    Started my first round 9/9/19! Excited to do something nice for myself. I had a hysterectomy one year ago, and had a rough patch with treating myself to feel better, since I still wanted babies and had to have the surgery after a miscarriage. I started cooking things I love to indulge in, and figured it is time to get myself on track:) Glad to have support and to see what happens:)

    I intended to start today as I just got back from vacation and splurged! This is my first time doing the Whole 30 and didn't give myself enough time to prepare so I'm doing it NOW. Adding groceries to my list so I can start prepping tonight and officially start my day 1 tomorrow. I also purchased the 3 recipe books for the Whole 30 to give me a variety of options as I know how I can be when I don't know what to eat/cook. I also signed up to do a 6 week bootcamp challenge at the gym to coincide with my Whole 30 for even better results. So let's do this!!!!

    I'm also starting my Whole30 tomorrow 9/9/2019. It's my first time. I'm a little intimidated lol. 
    Even though I'm starting tomorrow, today is my trial run and see what it's like. So far it's not that bad.
    I've had one meal so far today (brunch). Sauteed mushrooms and broccoli scrambled egg (1). One banana and one tsp of almond butter. One peach. One cup of coffee with nutpod creamer.
    As for dinner, I'm planning to do a pan seared tilapia with sauteed vegetables (red pepper, broccoli, shredded kale) and one medium sweet potato (steamed).
    I'm Asian and I miss rice already lol....

    I hear you sister!  I've tried to "cut back" on my sugar, dairy and processed food stuff.  Doesn't seem to be working for me right now so a complete 30 day elimination seems to be called for.  This mornings breakfast was leftover dinner that just happens to be already a compliant meal. A simple one-pot meal of ground beef and cabbage.

    Starting my 3rd Whole30 on Monday 9/9/19 after I get back from my vacay. I try to do a full whole30 every 6 months after I finish my last whole30 and it's about that time! Plus I got a bit chunky after completing a recent marathon 3 months ago (I always tend to gain weight after marathons due to running less miles...yet I still eat all the things...ay yi yi!) Time to clean up my diet and feel good again. Gimme a shout if you would like to join! :)
