Day 19–Where is the tiger blood?

@ShannonM816 Oh sorry about that. Typically it’s avocado or dressing. I really don’t do much nuts and seeds but I will keep an eye on that to see if it’s the issue. Thank you for the feedback and the article link!

Day 19–Where is the tiger blood?

I should also add, I never feel hungry, and I feel like I'm eating enough. The only time I get hungry is when I've eaten breakfast at 7:45am and am waiting to eat lunch until 1:30pm. Some days I can make it and some days I can't and have the tbsp of nut butter.

Day 19–Where is the tiger blood?

Breakfast--Typically sweet potatoes, sausage, sautéed spinach, and some avocado. Lunch--Typically either a salad with protein and fat, or a soup with protein and fat and veg. Dinner--Typically a protein, green veggies like broccoli, salad, or slaw, with a fat and two mandarins. Sometimes I include potatoes some days not. I have to eat a late lunch at work, so if I can't wait until lunch I have a tbsp of Nutzo to get me through. Not drinking coffee-just two cups black tea in the A.M. I take 1 teaspoon natural calm at night. I drink at least 72 ounces of water a day and I have a cup of herbal tea in the afternoon. I go to bed between 9pm-9:20pm, and get up about 5:10am to workout (typically walking, weights, or yoga). I've been working about at least 3-4 days but I was sick for about three days (cold), and did not workout for a week. I'm wondering if my issue is nightshades, as I have been occasionally eating tomatoes, I use pepper on most things, and I've been eating either chili or another soup with tomatoes. I also think my cold has made a lasting impact on my energy, and stomach. @slc_melissa

Just pooped myself. So over this.

Yeah, maybe for a few days, but I also think I’m sick, so I don’t know if it’s me being sick or the eating. I am getting enough fat, protein, fiber and starchy veggies. I’m not eating a ton of fruit—maybe one serving a day. Not really snacking except maybe a tablespoon of nut butter. I just don’t get it.

What day are you on? I’m having issues too.
  7. Ok, it’s Day 19 and I am still having stomach issues with diarrhea and/or loose stool. I am exhausted and where is my tiger blood? Any thoughts on why this is happening or what to do??! help!

@Kayla Jo Great work! We have weekly potluck say work with non healthy food and I know how hard it is to resist. Small group was probably hard but good for you on being determined.

@Kayla Jo If you are talking about the Dump Ranch from Whole Sisters, it's so good! Also, you could make bacon wrapped dates for the small group. It would mostly be for you but maybe others will try it, like it, and then you can talk about what you are doing.

Happy Day 9! We are almost in double digits. I roasted some potatoes, butternut squash for a quick soup this week, pumpkin chili, and I have an Italian Pot Roast in the slow cooker. I'm going to have pork sausage, salad, and potatoes for breakfast tomorrow, and leftover soup. I'm going to remake the veggies from tonight into cakes a la the Whole 30 cookbook, poach some eggs and add some beef for dinner tomorrow. Hope your next is relaxing and you get things done that you need to.

@Dragonslayer thank you for sharing! I too suffer from anxiety and depression, and I'm definitely an emotional eater. That has been a struggle for me these past 8 days but I'm determined to make it. I eat when I'm sad, mad, anxious, celebrating, etc. I'm also trying to make my house calm, and be present during the day (helps my anxiety). I try to meditate every day (never has happened but I'm trying!), and it seems to help. Trying to be in the present moment is really helpful, but yes, harder when I am alone to stop those thoughts. Do things that make you happy and that you like to do (says the pot to the kettle). Your food sounds absolutely delicious. Too bad we aren't close (I'm assuming) or we could do a Whole30 potluck! ;-)

Check in! I could not sleep well last night so I didn't want to go to the gym this morning but my daughter really wants to go to the daycare and I'm taking my friend and letting her use my guess pass. Accountability! I made an eggs, spinach and butternut hash this morning in a pan that had a little bit of bacon grease leftover and had 1/4 an avocado too. Lunch is the leftover cauliflower grits and BBQ chicken and dinner is leftover soup. Hope everyone has a great day/weekend! These are the days I tend to go off track--anyone else? I'm going to remedy that by getting tea when my daughter gets hot chocolate after her flu shot and I bought a kombucha as a faux adult beverage.

Yeah definitely eat as much non starchy veggies as you can, especially prebiotic veggies like broccoli, kale, spinach, and asparagus. Every body is different so maybe yours is just takin longer to get used to this new way of eating. Have you talked to your doctor about this issue? There are different types of irritable bowel syndrome--some have constipation, some have diarrhea, and some have both. I hope it gets better next week!
