    Starting Sept 1st

I'm starting tomorrow (Sept 1st) as well! This is actually R4 for me. I was doing so well... and then go WAY off track over the summer. September - new start! Good luck on your Day 1!

For me, I didn't feel that I had to do battle with the sugar dragon like the first round. But maybe it's because I go crazy on sweets before starting?? I'm down 10lbs and lost 1" on both my chest and waist and 2" on my hips! NSV's, I've gone down a size, my pants are too big... I'm not snoring anymore! Lol! Really though, I think it's dairy! As soon as I had dairy after R2 I could actually feel the inflammation and the snoring came back! And not to mention the digestive upset. No dairy in my reintroductions this time! I'm learning... this is good! Tomorrow I'm going to try non- gluten grains and see how they feel. Let me know when you ladies are restarting!

Tomorrow is my Day 30! Round 3 complete! Yay!

I've read Food Freedom and it sounds like you're doing just that! I'm really hopeful that I can eventually reach freedom with food, but I really seem to struggle with feelings of deprivation and cravings. I give myself an inch, and then I fall hard. I have to figure out a way to move past this and be truly free around my food choices! I'm on Day 8 of round 3 - today was the first day that I could have snacked off and on all day if I had let myself! It really helps that I have braces and eating is more of a pain then enjoyable!! LOL!

Day 6 for me and so far so good! I thought I'd have more sugar cravings after snitching so much Easter chocolate, but I've been ok. Although, I have to admit, it was hard not licking the spoon after making homemade mac and cheese for my kids! Lol! (But I didn't!). I find the best way for me to stay compliant is to make a casserole type lunch on Sunday that will feed me all week for lunch at work. This week was the spaghetti squash bake that I posted a while back. Otherwise, I'd end up grabbing something quick while I'm running out the door in the morning and guaranteed it wouldn't be compliant! @DotinTO - maybe it's that we're both Canadian, but I feel like we're kindred spirits! I feel like I might not be the only one who feels that cleaning out the cupboards before starting W30, means eating it all. LOL!! @Kelley Flees - it sounds like you're still staying the course! That's awesome!

@DotinTO and @brandyontherun My wagon is parked right next to yours ladies!! LOL! I have to be honest, I stayed compliant until Easter and then lost it. I should have done proper reintros, but I didn't. Instead, I started to eat "all the things" and felt pretty crappy about it. I don't know why, but when I fall off the wagon, I use it as an excuse to eat everything I know I shouldn't. Sigh. So... Monday, May 1st I started over and am now on R3D3. I plan on seeing this through and possibly going longer. This time, I will make sure I properly reintroduce! Did anyone else start on Monday? @Kelley Flees?

I've loved reading your NSV's and the benefits that you've felt after W30! I hope those that didn't lose don't feel too discouraged as you've still been doing great things for your body and helping it heal. Personally, my skin looks better (although I still do get hormonal breakouts... seriously, you think you'd be done with this by 40). My clothes fits better and I've gone down a size. My tummy issues have dissapeared and I feel great. I'm sleeping way better and my husband says I'm not snoring (yay!). I've had lots of comments that I've lost weight especially in my face. I wish my face were clearer and I really gave to get more active... more to work on! I almost don't want to mention it... I don't want to make anyone feel discouraged... but I am down 10lbs and have lost 2" on both my chest and waist! I'm going to continue to at least W40 and then I think I'll do the reintroductions. I know dairy will be out and I really don't want to start sugar again. I know my sugar dragon will rear its ugly head!

@ShellyM - I still haven't found the perfect GF recipe, but she liked my last loaf even though it seemed kinda heavy. My problem is that she also has issues with eggs and most recipes I've found call for eggs. I'm trying different egg substitutes but it's hard to make those kinds of changes in bread. Sigh. The garage is a good idea!! Lol!

Mmmm! Thanks for sharing @ShellyM and @TryingOver! I feel like I've spent the entire weekend in the kitchen! I made the butternut squash soup recipe out of the W30 book and had it for lunch today (yum!) and also made this zucchini lasagna with cashew cream sauce for my lunches this week: http://teacherpop.org/2016/03/teach-eat-repeat-recipe-whole30-lasagna/ It smells amazing but I'll have to wait until tomorrow to try it. Unfortunately, I also made bread for my family... let me tell you, the smell was heavenly! LOL! I recently bought a bread maker with a gluten free setting and have been experimenting with recipes. Both my daughter and husband are gluten sensitive and we've been buying GF bread for years, but it's so pricey (and not terribly tasty). Buying a breadmaker while starting a W30 was kinda a cruel torture, but I did it to myself and have resisted all temptation!

I'm definitely sticking around too! Like @Lilkathy, I'm kinda scared to do the reintroduction! I feel I'm not ready yet - I need to plan it out first...

@TryingOver - I'm undecided right now! Part of me wants to keep going a little longer (my skin is still breaking out, but not as bad) but I also want to make sure I do a careful reintroduction especially before Easter where we will be visiting family. I hope your procedure goes well - good luck! What is everyone else thinking of doing? Is Tuesday really 30 days?!

Oh, I forgot to mention - have any of you read 'Food Freedom Forever'? I'm about half way through and I highly recommend it! I'm scared about 'life after W30' but I think the book helps sort through all those fears.

@xfrapgirl - hopefully your cravings are under control today... with your coffee cravings and the soup you should have but didn't enjoy, it sounds like your body/brain is trying to derail you! Keep strong! @KatKat - I hope that you'll forgive your husband... LOL! I'd be mad too - but you've just shown him you're stronger. I too am starting to notice that I'm enjoying fruit maybe a little too much and I need to cut back. Also... sweet potatoes... I'm maybe over using them. No tiger blood here either. @MButcher - Water... I'm horrible for not drinking enough! And I also notice I can get confused with thirst/hunger signals! I have to admit, I too am looking forward to 'checking in' with measurements and the scale even though I've been focusing on NSV's and how I've been feeling. Yesterday we had some errands to run which took far longer then we meant it too. I did have an Rx bar in my purse, but didn't eat it - instead my husband pulled into Montana's restaurant! He NEVER goes out for food! So... I was torn! I'm excited to go to a restaurant but scared because I don't know what to order! I ended up getting the smallest steak and a plain baked potato (raw carrots on the side). I asked that they hold the butter, sauce or fixings. I'm proud of myself because I typically would have ordered a cheesy cream sauce pasta dish and didn't even look at them!

@JenniferPasoFino - I hope your hand is ok! I try to gave some hard boiled eggs in the fridge as a grab and go protein along with washed and ready veggies. It's the fat I sometimes struggle with. Typically, I actually cut up some veggies at night and put them in a container and throw them in the frying pan on low with coconut oil while I shower (my wonderful hubby stirs them for me ) when I get out I throw eggs in (omelette or sunny side up!) to go with them. That's my usual breakfast and it's pretty quick if I get it ready partway at night. My NSV of the day... it's our spring break this week and my kids wanted to go to the movies. Both kids munched on popcorn (that smelled amazing!) and I didn't touch it. I actually was ok not having it even if it did smell good...

Awesome NSV's! You're strong to avoid the sweets! Great job! I have a spiralizer! I love mine, but should use it more often. I bought mine off of Amazon - it's the one you set on the counter with a handle that you crank, I've heard the hand held ones you twist don't work as well. It wasn't very expensive and works awesome!
