Basa would be fine. I picked up some snapper and prawns on special today so will use those.
Coles has Jensens Organic Garlic. : ) organic compliant garlic in a jar, ingredients are garlic and vinegar.

So far I have discover Aldi is awesome for organic things like tomato paste and butter (ok no butter allowed but for general primal eating). They also have big bags of almonds, walnuts etc quite cheaply and I always seem to score fruit and vege bargains there.
Aldi does a range of grass fed beef
Coles and Safeway are both stocking coconut oil now, and Safeway has started stocking Kale and baby kale.
If you have a Bushy Park fruit and veg near you they have good organic eggs

Hopefully this will be useful although I think are very lucky to have such good fresh produce around in general.

OMG! Me too! Well I started with WW after my son was born in June 2011, lost about about 14kgs, then did a program called 12 week body transformation and lost close to another 10. That was basically 1200 cals in, 500 cals out in exercise, thankfully I was breastfeeding at the time and had 1700 cals to play with but it was still brutal. I was hungry, tired and moody all the time.
I also wish I had known about eating this way a long time ago. I wonder if it is common to turn to paleo as a maintenance plan as their is no "counting" anything ?

My local Bushy Park fruit and veg had taro and yam bean(jimica?) in today. Now I just have to work out what to cook with it

I found it in my local Bushy Park fruit and veg wholesale (Diamond Creek). They don't always have it.
Day 17 and I am calling it quits. I have been really struggling with ED/OCD tendencies this time around and need to stop thinking about food so much for a while. I am annoyed with myself but have been doing lots of thinking, reading and talking about it and this
http://whole9life.com/2012/02/whole30-gone-bad/
Made me cry with relief and felt like permission to let go and ease up on myself.
I might come back at some point but for now so long, and thanks for all the fish : )

Tooronga village sort of a Deli cum health food shop, forgotten the shop name, but the brand name is ista brand I think ( had it in the freezer so don't have the wrapping anymore). They have ham as well. Unfortunately the spices include garlic so I won't buy it again. I am going to switch to the Han or Coles smoked bacon as it is 95% bacon and less than 1% sugar and no dextrose or other stuff really. I used to buy the ww brand which I realised I liked because it didnt have garlic.

Nothing wrong with a bit of vanity motivation : ) we are looking at having a trip to Fiji towards the end of May, swimwear is a powerful motivator here at the moment.
I'm doing my 2 nd whole 30 (1st Jan this year) and currently on day 15, my biggest issues are my sweet tooth/after dinner snack habits although part of me does wonder if I am making myself more sensitive to sugars by reducing them so much from my diet. Hmm
I'm also a SAHM, my eldest is 4 and my baby turns 2 in June. Both would just as happily eat Primal as SAD. It gets harder in social situations and I find my self being 'that parent' that freaks out at the luminous purple cupcake.

I'm seriously sick of swypo guilt. If the worst thing I am doing is eating fruit after dinner.....lol.

Glimmer.... I find that logging my day really helps...
After dinner when everyone is settled I take out my log book and recap my meals ( no calories or anything ) and my workouts and jot down my general mood during the day and if I had hunger or cravings..... Very therapeutic
Your doing great!!!!

Increasing fat and carbs and peppermint tea after dinner helped...still felt the "need" for something after dinner but had the tea and went to bed.

Thanks everyone. I had opened a tin of coconut milk to make my kids some ice-cream, I have dumped the rest of it in the sink now.
Can't do the same with nuts and blueberries as I'm not the only one in the house who eats those. I have made an effort to increase my fat and carbs today an hoping that gets rid of the post dinner hungries.
I think I need to just go to bed earlier and then the temptation is not there.

hey glimmer! you meals look/sound so awesome! giving me some great ideas and inspiration! i'm round the corner of day 7 and really looking forward to a better week. my first was week was not as great as i had hoped/expected.
are you finding it much easier this time around? or do you think you're just more aware of the challenges and you know how best to combat them now vs with your first w30?

I woke up with shoulder pain I wonder if going to the gym is making my shoulder flare up more than normal, so in a way it's good that I have this log so that I can see if there's a pattern.
Day 13: Saturday, March 23rd
Breakfast: 3 fried eggs, 1/2 Avocado, 4 cherry tomatoes, 1 closed handfull of pistachios, Black coffee w/coconut oil
Lunch: 2 Nakd bars (cocoa orange & cashew cookie)
Dinner: Chicken salad (Chicken breast, mixed lettuce, roasted red peppers, jalapenos, harboiled egg), Sweet potato fries
I've realized that the weekends are just too busy for me to eat 3 complete meals, so while I feel bad that I resorted to Nakd bars while I was out and about, they kept me full between breakfast and dinner.

Hey, I'm doing my 2nd whole30 (day 10) and it has taken me until today to start feeling human again. It seems to be harder to get the food balance right and I was not having enough fat/carbs with lunch at first.
Keep at it, you will hit your stride soon

Hey glimmer,
I know exactly how you feel, being disappointed about eating fruits and nuts when you didn't need it. I too am trying to get rid of "justified snacking", especially after dinner when I feel like having something sweet. Focus on the positive here: you indulged in fruits and nuts, which are at least compliant! Onwards and upwards ...
What kind of shoulder rehab does your physio have you doing? I'm doing YWTs, these rotating moves with dumbbells (laying down), and these thumbs up dumbbell lifts (sorry, I don't know what some of these are called!) I feel like such an idiot with the little 1kg weights because I used to lift much heavier, but I have to get over it and do what's best for my shoulders!
