    Is anybody else more scared/nervous than excited about day 31? I am so afraid of going backwards....I feel like I am scared of food now.  But I am so over being the difficult one when ordering at restaurants and being the teetotaler at a bar or concert.  But my non scale goal of better sleep which eluded me in my first whole30 has arrived this time.  I am sleeping so well. I don’t want to give it back.

    I'm wondering how to tackle reinro this time around. I know I need to focus really well on gluten and legumes. I did a fast track reintro after my first whole30 and found I had trouble with legumes..... but didn't have time to really separate the different legumes to see how I reacted to each individual type (Ex Soy vs beans vs peanut butter vs peas) before we left on our vacation in which I wanted to be completely done with reintroduction by then.... and by the time I did reintro to gluten, I was having morning sickness due to being newly pregnant, so I'm not sure if the gluten was making me react or just pregnancy hormones!!! I did learn last time that I'm completely fine with nongluten grains, dairy, and the occasional glass of wine. This was a BIG relief because starting the whole30, I thought I might have to breakup with dairy. I'll still reintro those but I'll most likely do another fast reintro with them and do a slower role with gluten and legumes. Hope that jumble made sense!!! I need it to make sense in my brain and so I am hoping that getting this typed out will help me moving forward to meal plan the weeks ahead for reintro (my last 10 days of strict whole30 are already planned out)

    Day.... 17?!?! When did that happen??? How's everyone feeling? Any plans for the dreaded food boredom of week 3?
    After seeing how many people on the forum were raving about the Fast and Easy cookbook, I decided to treat myself last week and bought it... And I'm so glad I did!
    So far I've made the alfredo sauce (with spaghetti squash, turkey breast and mushrooms for a "fettucine" night), chicken and zucchini skillet, kale and potato sheet pan meal, and crunchy garlic pepper beef (listed in order from most favourite to meh-in-my-opinion). All have been super fast and easy indeed! And quite inexpensive ingredients to make it, which is a major plus 
    I realized when I was planning out my running and workout schedule that I'm out of town for the next 3 weekends, and was out of town last weekend... Quite the time to do a Whole30, when you're out of town on the weekends for a month straight  
    I'm already working on next week's meal plan so we can do groceries on our way back into town and meal prep real quick Sunday night. Thankfully, I'll have a bunch of leftovers to bring with me for this upcoming trip as my husband is out of town and I'm overcooking like crazy! We travel a lot, and the inability to settle into a weekend routine has been a major detriment for me in the past. If anything, I'm kind of grateful for all this craziness during my Whole30 -  I'm really showing myself that there are no excuses, and if I'm committed enough, travel doesn't have to interfere with nutrition!

    Day 15 - what?? I made it halfway!! Reallly proud of myself for this.  Still a little early, bu I know I won’t be cheating tonight.  This is the longest eating plan I’ve stuck to in a very long time.  Always have just said “a couple of bites won’t hurt” or “it’s cheat day.”  I’m really starting to recognize the stress and things that tend to be when I reach for food.  I really think I can do this now!

    I am in full on "I'm so tired I just want to sleep mode." BUT, my toddler is in full teething mode, so sleep's not happening, mommy! UGH. I'm here. I'm hanging in there. Day 8 complete! Hooray..... that tiger blood can kick in anytime now!

    @Charlene33 HAPPY BIRTHDAY! And, hey, I was in Raleigh this weekend (for the Carolina/N.C. State basketball game)
    Yesterday was a delightfully slow Sunday here. Made this for brunch. Too time consuming for a weekday breakfast, but it was amazing on a rainy Sunday morning. And I can’t remember who doesn’t want eggs, but there are a few eggless servings as made. (I doubled it....and we had leftovers this morning. I just poached some more eggs for the top)

    Day 7!! Feeling pretty good. Still fighting cravings but breakfasts like this are not so bad. Salmon cake, fried eggs, and steamed spinach with my coconut milk latte. #organic #whole30

    @eriefairy if you mix your strong mayo with something else to make dips, you won’t notice..we love the avocado mayo (Though for time sake, I buy fresh in house made guacamole at my local grocery store.  Only ingredients are avocado, onion, pepper, tomato and cilantro...gives it a little more kick than just avocados).  We also LOVE the creamy roasted red pepper one. It’s awesone for dipping perfectly seared chicken breasts and roasted veggies. And if you are looking for kid friendly recipes, both are good with these

    Hi everyone! Day three was good and bad. I had a great night's sleep (unfortunately not ten hours - that sounds great @april_espi!) and felt great this morning. But I work as a preschool teacher and I noticed I was less patient with my kiddos than I usually am. I also had some stomach issues today and I don't know if it was because of an all around change in diet, or if I maybe ate something a little off.

    This evening I was still hungry after dinner and I ended up snacking on a few pistachios. I read they are allowed, but you aren't supposed to eat them often, so I am going to have my boyfriend hide them with the rest of my off-limit food. Tomorrow I am going to plan a more filling dinner and eat a little later so that I don't feel hungry and want to snack in the evening. 

    1/10th of the way through!

    I am starting today, too. This is my third round in just over a year.  My first went great but went to Paris on day 33 and reintroductions were blown. Did the second about two weeks after the end of the first. I am doing this one to get more info from reintroduction so I am going to have to go slowly with them. Specifically I want to break down the legumes group and the non gluten grains groups and see which ones agree with me best. Today is not a piece of cake, but I don’t want to wait until tomorrow to start. I am flying most of the day...so far had fresh veggies and compliant jerky and a larabar.  I know it’s not ideal and I need some fat soon....but I am doing my best. I have all the ingredients for a quick and easy shrimp and “grits” (cauliflower rice) for dinner tonight when we get home.
    Looking forward to sharing the journey with you all.
