    Starting April 1!

    Mind if I join you? I plan on starting tomorrow too! I tried this back in Feb but too many life events and I couldn't keep on track. I made it 7 days.

    Thank you!! This group is seriously awesome!! I hope I can find one similar for March as well. March is MY month, and I'm starting on the 1st!! Right now, we're working on balancing our meals, not snacking and as little sugar and grains as possible, but still have them occasionally. Those last 2 will be the hardest to give up and definitely calls for a transition period in our home.

    Well... This girl fell off the wagon on day 7. And that's okay because I'm eager to do this successfully again next month and I know exactly why I failed. I had REALLY poor eating habits before starting this. And this was really a drastic change in my diet. I was already starting to see changes in my skin and tastes as well as my belly getting smaller. But I was so tired, drained all the time. I know they say the first 2 weeks are the hardest. But I have a teething baby, and he can't have me being lazy and I can't deal with the headaches and him at the same time lol. He comes first; he needs me to be fully there. He is also my "Why" I started the Whole30, so I am determined to change! We also found out we're moving this month. Short notice but hey, that's life. So now, we are modifying our eating habits, making healthier choices and will ease our way into a Whole30 next month. In the 7 days though, I have learned so much. I read your stories now and I'm so sad this time didn't work but I'm learning still. Good luck to you all!!

    Does anybody know what the rules are when it comes to ingredients that say "May Contain"? I got these raisins in the organic section yesterday at the store and basiy paid no attention to the second line...

    Hubby and I are in the same boat. At least for breakfast and lunch anyways. I feel like we are pretty veggie solid on dinners. I do have a headache today. And I miiiight have cried in my chicken salad that I had for lunch. I'm not normally a breakfast eater. So since I've been eating breakfast, I haven't really been hungry for lunch. I'm trying to get myself to eat lunch and get on this schedule though. CURSE YOU HORMONES!! (Really it hasn't been that bad)

    I'm not really hungry either... In fact, I couldn't even force myself to eat my lunch. And my lunch was going to be good lol. I was just still satisfied from breakfast. Is that a no-no?

    I am sticking to that motto... Keep it Simple. I am way over thinking this and making it way harder than it needs to be. I see all these fancy recipes on Pinterest and they look so good. I need to focus on foods I know are healthy and that I already like and stick to it! Simple and easy. With an 8mo old and working a full time job, I don't need to add the stress of making a gourmet meal each and every night. I tried making "Mexican Cole Slaw" last night... Horrible fail. This week is for sure a learning curve lol.

    There is a forum post on here I found the other day about eggs... If its your main source of protein, your serving size is as many as you can hold in your hand without dropping them... For me that was 4. So. Many. Eggs.

    Same!! I scrambled eggs with peppers and onions and smushed up some avocado and choked it down. I only used a quarter of an avocado... Is that enough? I was so stuffed after breakfast but I don't feel like I ate near what the template is recommending...

    Lol! It is American. The TessaMae's starter pack came with... Mayo, BBQ Sauce, Ketchup, Zesty Ranch dressing/marinade, lemon garlic dressing/marinade, a pepper(?) dressing/marinade, balsamic vinaigrette (I think? ) And something else... There were 8 jars. I went ahead and ordered online because I live in a super small town and didn't know if these would be available in my local grocery store. However... After doing my shopping last night, they surprisingly had a TON of Whole30 compliant food items lol.

    Almost fainted

    Julia, I'm so glad you're feeling better now! I have no medical knowledge about hypoglycemia or anything like it... I'm merely speaking from my own experience. But how are you emotionally? Have you ever had anxiety before? The symptoms you are talking about remind me a lot of when I have had panic attacks. When I don't feel myself and know something is off, it always makes them escalate, it's a scary thing. Sometimes its little things that can set me off too, sometimes I can't even pinpoint what triggers them.

    Grazing and Snacking

    (I'm late to this party. But was interested in the topic.) I'm a grazer too. Although I'm not starting my Whole30 until the 1st of Feb., there's a part in the Whole3o Guide where they talk about "If/Then" statements that I think will be really helpful. You write down different scenarios that you will come across that could trigger you wanting a snack. And the second part of the sentence is what you will do to not snack. For example, "IF I'm bored at my desk and want to snack, THEN I will go for a 5 minute walk." I wrote a bunch of these in a notebook... If the situation comes up, then I'll turn to my journal and do what I wrote.
