    Kombucha

Some Kombucha is vinegary. I started last D3cember drinking Pink Lady flavor by Health aide.It isn’t vinegary at all. In January I started brewing my own. It is SO much better than store bought & of course, a lot less expensive. It’s very easy to do!

Summary & post Whole30 - I'm so happy to report that I'm not even thinking about some of my old habits, esp for breakfast which was typically PB on toast. Yesterday & today was eggs & veggies. So delicious! @eatspinraverepeat - The beer went down very well Not feeling any side effects from it. How'd everyone else do the first day "off" plan?

Great job @eatspinraverepeat & all! I plan to do round 2 on 3/28. In the meantime add a couple of things & see how I react. Tonight it's a hard cider. Kinda nice to end on the day before St Patrick's day! Cheers to you all & much success!

Day 30!! Wow. I did weigh before, but didn't take measurements. I can tell from my pants that I've lost inches, but, I'll have to rely on the scale. My husband & I plan to continue to eat this way. As you've heard me mention, he has an autoimmune. I will be curious to see if his doc has any knowledge of this eating protocol & see if his inflammation rate goes down in April. He is on two pretty strong meds I'd love to see him get off of. Without insurance these meds are over $4k per month!! Thank God, we have insurance, but you never know when they are going to decline what you're asking for. Plus, who knows what all these meds are doing to his system. One of the habits I will continue is the planning in advance of what meals I'll be making & prepping in advance. I will look into Paleo baking instead of going back to old habits. This will be tough. I come from a long line of bakers & I LOVE to bake! I'll consider it an experiment I am also going to limit my treats. It's amazing how we all feel like we deserve a treat once a day. My goal is to aim for once per week. Have a great day 30!

My day 29 NSV was at my recheck at the docs office. The dr and her nurse(that I hadn't seen before) said they were surprised I had pneumonia b/c I looked so good! Woohoo, I'll take it! And, give kudos to Whole 30 for improved, more radiant skin, clearer eyes etc.!!

I happened to see yesterday somewhere online that there is a brand of choc chips that doesn't have soy lecithin called enjoy life. They are at Targets in our area. What have you determined about soy lecithin, I'm just curious? So many things to look out for!!

Yes, she should try it! Honestly, I noticed in only ONE week that the swelling was going down. Quite amazing. My husband has RA and so he will need to do this longer to see more NSVs, though he's visibly lost weight. As an FYI to all, there are a ton of podcasts on this way of eating. Most of them under some form of Paleo formatt. Great info out there. Feel like a whole new world has opened up! Happy day 29! Woohoo!!

Thought I'd pass along. What looks like a good recipe. We finally have weather that makes me want to eat chili! Dinner tonight in my house https://www.savorylotus.com/paleo-sweet-potato-chili/ Day 28! I am still sort of shocked that this has gone by pretty quickly! And, we've all had lots of challlenges & are staying strong. My NSV for the day. My inflammation/arthritis in my thumb joints is gone. No pain & it's awesome! Looking forward to seeing if that will give me opportunities to get into more difficult yoga positions that have been limited by the inflammation.

I can really relate on the sweet tooth. I've been checking out Pinterest for some homemade Lara like bars & choc pudding made with avacados. I am concerned that this will set off the sugar dragon in me even though they're made from healthy ingredients. I'm going to have to set a once per week limit.

That's awesome!! Congratulations. Huge NSV!!! I'm not surprised that it's ok to stay on whole 30. Such healthy eating.

I am still here & going strong despite being sick. Still can't go to the gym, but will try some easier yoga at home later. Had quite a few challenges with my son home from college & feeling like I had to cook traditional favorites which would be off plan, but, he was so great about eating what we were eating. His GF came to visit & spent the night. Again, more food associations and feeling like I had to cook big & not so healthy meals, but I didn't....It was nice to hear them both say they were going to eat healthier at school b/c they really like the food we were eating! Making beef broth today from some bones I have. If you haven't done this before, I highly recommend it! So delicious and good for you. Great for soups, chili's etc. We buy 1/2 cow every year and the butcher gives us the bones to make the broth. But, you can do this with the bones from grilling a steak or a roasted chicken. Grilled salmon, asian style riced cauli & sauteed kale w/almonds for dinner. We are supposed to get lots of snow tomorrow, so, might get to do my shoveling exercises @MargretB @scma - awesome that you are sticking to the plan while traveling. That is tough! @eatspinraverepeat - great job going out and not feeling like you had to drink to have fun! As we approach the end of the 30 days, why don't we each list a non- scale victory that we've noticed during this time period. Mine is that my head is clearer! Clearer, more concise thinking and better memory! Day 27 - Stay strong

A great place to get info is on this forum. You can type in the ingredient and or question you have in the search bar and usually find what you're looking for.

I have to tell you all about a NSV today! This cold of mine has really gotten worse over the course of the week. Tried to work out yesterday and I was SO exhausted. This AM having trouble taking a full breath, so, I went to the doc. Found out I had pneumonia!!! I guess with an early Spring (allergies)& a cold this was the perfect storm. Anyway, normally, this would have been my reason to go out and buy some ice cream, pudding, you name it, anything junky that would sooth my throat. But, I picked up my meds, went home and had a frig full of prepped food and ate Whole30. I did milk it so that my husband had to cook dinner tonight But, I stayed on plan. I'm so proud that I did. It also shows that this prepping ahead is helpful in ways that I couldn't have imagined and makes me want to continue this after Whole 30 just to make life easier when you get thrown a curve ball. A very happy day 23!

Oh bummer! Are you sure you need to stop?? If you were unknowingly eating these? Your decision. But, wishing you all the best for the next round.
