Non-gluten grains had no effect on me. Looking forward to tomorrow as I have decided to do legumes. Celery & peanut butter for breakfast some refried beans at lunch and brown beans for supper. I'm sure I'll have lots of gas but really want to know if it was the peanut butter or waffles that used to make my joints ache. We are almost through the re-intro people. I saved glutens for last as my Pastor's wife was a pastry chef in Romania and she makes goodies about every Sunday in between our early service and Sunday School. Can't wait to see what she has this Sunday as I've refrained from them since March 12th.

Reintroduction has been.....haphazard?  Did a proper reintroduction of dairy and wheat. I don't think there were ill effects - I experienced a bit of tendinitis in my elbows on Saturday, but that has often been the case after a swim class, even towards the end of the whole30 - probably due to imperfect form more than anything else.
Today found ourselves at Easter Brunch today (as planned), and just kind of winged it.  Lots of dairy and bread, a small amount of sugar.  I figured, since we had no ill effects on our reintro days, what the heck!  And...it is 7 hours later, and no one is experiencing anything.
Now we'll go back to proper whole30 for two more days, then introduce non-gluten grains on Wednesday to get back on track.
    So far, so good!

The dairy reintroduction went well on Tuesday...no ill-effects that I could tell, even though I was exhausted from a lack of sleep.  It really was no problem to go back to W30  for the last two days...in fact it actually felt pretty normal.
Stepping on the scale was certainly fun, though:  I'm down about 7 pounds and about 1 inch in the waist , 1 in the hips.  Lightest I've been since I completed a ridiculous 7 day hut-to-hut mountain bike trip in 2012.  Woo Hoo! Hubby lost a whopping 15 pounds, from 180 to 165.  Only about 10 pounds away from the "skinny fast boy" weight he was when we married.  He's thrilled!
The NSV count, though, in a big way:  much more even energy levels throughout the day; no more sugar dragon; solid sleep (7-8 hours), arthritis in my toe is at a minimum, and I am actually getting FASTER in my workouts.  And...not sure if it is a NSV, but I spend much less time on social media than I used to - but that could just be because I spend that time prepping, shopping and cooking.  ;-)
We both plan to keep up a whole30-ish way of life moving forward!

Yay!  Glad to find you all hear today.
We have chosen dairy as our first reintroduction.  Eggs cooked in butter, with a bit of cheese, and a mid-morning latte while working in a coffee shop.  So far, no ill-effects. Phew!

    Day 31!!!!  Congratulations everyone!
Had a bit of whole milk in my coffee this morning, cooked my eggs in butter, and topped them with a bit of grated cheese.  I plan to enjoy a nice latte at my favorite coffee spot this morning, just to be sure that I give the old bod a good dose of dairy proteins.
Dairy is implicated mostly in digestive issues, right?  I won't be able to tell if it is affecting energy, because the puppy had us all up from 3:30-5:00 this morning.  Not what I needed for sleep after a pretty intense masters swim last night.  I'm pooped already!

Great idea.... my hubby and I are planning something similar, since we were invited to a special Easter brunch at our favorite restaurant - one that features fresh-made bread and delectable cheeses!  SO, we've modified re-introduction.  If I can convince the hubster, we'll be doing round 2 of W30 starting the monday after Easter!
    Tuesday: reintroduce dairy
    Friday: reintroduce gluten grains
Easter:  enjoy, as long as nothing from Tuesday or Friday caused any problems.

Well, I finally had "the dream" last night.  Only having "the dream" was actually part of the dream!  I dreamed that I dreamed (!) that I had finished a monster mountain bike ride with friends.  One tossed me a gummy worm, and I devoured it without even thinking!  Then came the chocolate chip cookie. Down the hatch.  On day 28!  Oh, I was so distraught....and torn as to whether or not to start over.
    Fortunately...a dream within a dream.
Day 28 dawns, and we are still going strong!

    I'm still here, too!
Elaes, I had the same interpretation too.  Funny.  My husband has stuck with the whole 30 till now, but I am not sure I can get him to do a proper reintroduction...may be only the kind that you and I thought we needed to do.  Wish me luck!
Day 25 has found me a bit on the tired side.  I did work out harder over the weekend than I had been able to pull off for the last couple of weeks, so I am hoping it is just a natural recovery time for me.  Fingers crossed!
For those interested, this is what hubby and I decided for our reintroduction:
    Wine
    Dairy
    non-Gluten Grains
    Legumes
    Gluten
I have it on the calendar to reintroduce using the 3-day protocol, but I plan to play it by ear whether I actually reintroduce something or not, especially after we get to Dairy (we miss wine and cheese most from our diets, so those are in first - I don't really care if I ever re-introduce legumes...)

Hey, still here...strange twist, we decided to have my son tackle a W30, he is 8, to resolve chronic ear infections and several other complications...it's been a bit of a struggle, and added A TON of work to my life, but we are making progress. I haven't had time to keep up very well with posting here but have enjoyed and learned from the groups continued energy, so thank you!

I've noticed that the posts have dropped off significantly these past few days. I hope everyone is hanging in there...
So I made a huge pan of pulled pork carnitas at the weekend (a recipe from the W30 book). I'm not a fan of cinnamon but it adds an interesting layer of flavour and this is such a great dish that it's gonna keep ms going for a few days. I'm noticing how sweet some of the veggies taste, particularly pumpkin and turnip.
At work today we had fruity Tuesday. Up to now I've been avoiding dates as I love them so much that I can eat a tonne. But i allowed myself a few from the fruit bowl, together with some melon and passion fruit. I consider this to be a slight transgression, so here I am owning up
Looking forward to your posts. Just say hi if you're still with us.

FINALLY....energy levels are back to normal - completed masters swim this morning and never felt better.  I even led my lane...a week ago I was barely able to keep up with people I know are slower than I am.  Phew!
I still get the occasional craving (wine), and am getting tired of planning/prepping/cooking/storing.  So I have declared that tomorrow the family is taking me out to lunch.  Fortunately we have several options in my hometown that are easily Whole30 compliant - one restaurant doesn't even STOCK any kind of sweetener, even for coffee or tea.  Can't wait!

I'm pretty sure this is my favorite recipe in the whole book!  Am planning on making it again next week, when I am reunited with my stash of meatballs in the freezer....
