Success! For those wanting a coconut yoghurt, easy recipe for Aussies (adapted from FeedMeRachel's):

1 x can of undrained Ayam Coconut Cream (270ml)
4 x Dairy Free Inner Health Plus capsules

In a glass jar, put coconut cream, empty 4 capsules into jar (throw out crispy capsule shells), stir madly, put in fridge and patiently wait 2-3 days.

Coconut yoghurt, no sweeteners, no additives, dairy free
  3. Thanks

Just a note for those who love Frank's Hot Sauce (Original). I recently saw some in Woolworths, but it's a different formulation, containing wheat, always read your labels. [update: seen at Coles too and it's the same formulation containing wheat]

[Latest Update: It's label has been updated for Aussie labelling, but a bit confusing as the wording is a bit non-standard. The vinegar is distilled from wheat (wheat is an allergen so it's bold on the label) but it's gluten free as it's distilled (as all vinegar is in the USA) - so yes compliant, yes gluten free, no for folks allergic to wheat]

@Hope4Overcomers There is actually a deli by my work that serves breakfast. I assumed I wouldn't be able to eat anything they served because of the spices and oils they use, but they were able to make me plain potatoes and eggs. So I was so happy to know they could do that for the future!

Have a big pot of beef soup bubbling away, it's a vaguely minestrone recipe:
    Ingredients:
1 celery stick 1 brown onion 1 swede 1 parsnip 3 carrots 2-5 potatoes - for Aussies, the items from here up are usually in a "soup pack" at the supermarket 1 kilo of beef mince - for Aussies, I like the Coles 3 star mince 800g of diced tinned tomatoes Tomato paste 1 cups of chicken stock or water Pop the mince in the bottom of the pot, dice the solid things and add, add everything else.
Takes about an hour to cook on the stove and my favourite part is that it's a very forgiving recipe, skip an ingredient or two, substitute, it always comes out great
Great for colder weather but isn't too bad in summer either.

@praxisproject yep - Ive resorted to Pork Belly as well but found its just better to stick with a variety of organic whole meats - its costing a fortune but we are eating well - just not able to have the flexibility of adding bacon to flavour up some dishes - I found one processed meat product from Italy that is only pork and salt - its a pancetta that Coles carries - so I use that in a pinch! I think chicken pan gravy goes with anything so I'd give it a go with eggs! And Ive been trying Mel Joulwan recipes - did one of her burger combos in grilled portabello mushrooms the other day and it was delicious!

Sadly for those of us in Australia, compliant bacon is quite tricky. I ate a lot of Pork Belly instead for my first Whole30, baked the pork belly in the oven, then pan fried slices for "bacon", it's not smoked but it's still tasty.
I have ended up with some carrots and chicken pan gravy left over from my roast chickens, wondering if it will be weird with eggs for breakfast (it's the gravy I'm not sure about, texture wise).
If you're looking for any burger inspiration, Mel Joulwan also has a legendary list of meatball recipes, I prefer burger patties to meatballs as they're more forgiving when they're uneven

@Meg1130 great job on those events so fantastic. I definitely need to look in that cook book. Also great idea on the shredded chicken I will need to figure out sauces I can make. I can’t do garlic, onions, pepper and nightshade.

@wp3 I am glad things are going better for you. I so understand the grocery store. I was picking up cilantro and had to walk through the sugar dragons den and I though of you.

@kirbz and @Sparoblu  I will need to check out those recipes. I LOVE BACON as well.
@jeslight  so glad you are here with us. Hats off to you with everything you are doing. I have total admiration for people doing this who have kids and husband that aren’t doing this.
Thanks all for sharing such great ideas.
And just because I couldn't resist and was craving some fat, crispy turkey skin. I did share with my brother. It was so good. It has taken me 2 days and 4 times to get the turkey thighs cooked all the way. And they still are not done. I don't get it. Ah Well

It sounds like everyone is doing great so far! Congrats!!
On another thread a while back, the group decided to do a burger night. I thought that sounded like fun! Would anyone be interested in picking a night and all doing a burger night "together"?
Regardless, here are some awesome burger recipes I have always wanted to try and will definitely make time to eat this round:

In general folks, if you're looking for incredible depth of flavor and some international food options, Mel Joulwan is awesome. She has a website with a ton of her recipes, plus three cookbooks. I routinely use all four resources! Here are some of my favorites:

    Greetings Comrades!!
I so wish I could respond right now to each of you individually because you are all near and dear to my heart. But I can’t. We’re having a very rough time with a family members health and it’s been a time consumer.
Foremost, I would love to welcome each and every new comer to our group that I’ve not gotten to reply to personally. Each and every one of us, no matter where we are on our journey, is vital to this group. Welcome one and all!
Second, I apologize to anyone that’s tagged me and I’ve not yet responded. Simply haven’t been able to get to it all but it’s all important to me. Really.
Third, a praise report. Even though I’ve been experiencing a family challenge I am Whole30 compliant. Yayyy me! Not as perfect of meals as I’d prefer but none the less on target on the Whole30 program and lifestyle. Let me tell you, that feels good!!
I trust everyone will keep right up with your outstanding posting! It’s such an encouragement to me!
Please do indeed be encouraged as I said, you so encourage me!
Each and everyone of you rock and I feel so blessed to be a member of this awesome, awsome, group!
    Your Fan,
    Dianne

I came across Mel Joulwan’s book Well Fed in a used book store. I bought it because I liked the layout and was totally surprised to find it based on Whole30/paleo lifestyle. What a treasure. Her Sunday cook ups with quantities for being well prepared for the week made my first Whole30 not only doable but actually fun.  Keeping a good range of options always at the ready, made weekday meals quick, easy and fantastic.
Yesterday, Day 1 was a disaster for me. Had an all-day board meeting for which I was nutritionally unprepared. The foods they provided were like a child’s birthday party. Bagels, cake, chips and candy, “seriously”? It was bad. I’m erasing that day. Today is day 1 for me.

For those struggling to escape the scale, evict it from your house, have a friend hold it at their house until your Whole30 is over or get them to put it in their car boot. A large part of the temptation is that it's there in your house.
If you're struggling with too much cooking time, check out the Hot Plates listed here, it's the least prep and still tasty meals, perfect for week nights or to pad out your menu plans for the week.

Sneaking in your group although I'm Post-W30 I'll only post compliant stuff in here.
Rebooting my Food Freedom habits, started 1st of August. I find Post-W30 a little harder than W30 (silly I know). I've done so many rounds over the years I don't count them anymore.
I owe all of my successful rounds to the yummy Whole30 recipes of Mel Joulwan (which are also sometimes funny), here's one of her awesome posts with loads of resources:
