    Thank you for posting this! I haven't started yet, my start date is May 20th. I am so happy you said that you finally found a way to eat for the rest of your life because that's what I've been wanting for so long. I can't wait to get started and I can't wait until I can just let go of all of the "diet" mindsets I've built up over the years! Congratulations on finishing, that is so awesome and you should be very proud.

    ... they go out for "Sushi" with their friends and special order rolls made without rice to go with their sashimi. And they bring their own coconut aminos.

    You can still reward yourself!  Lots and LOTS of us do. Take a bubble bath, go buy the new David's Tea, a trashy magazine (if that's your thing), listen to music SUPER loud... There are things in your life that you dont get to do often that bring you joy (I know there are... we all have them), so try using them to reward yourself... you totally deserve it!

    It's day 14 and I have no cravings but if I'm honest with myself, I miss rewarding myself for getting through the day with non-compliant food.  Feelings suck.

    Ya, unfortunately that's just one that has to be worked through.  It can be a bit startling to really feel the full draw of emotions but you get used to it.  Plus you won't always be going through the "withdrawal" stage of being used to eating sugars etc.  That part just makes it all worse.

    Is it possible that you are used to comforting yourself with food when you feel anxious or upset? It's possible that by teaching your body to accept food just as fuel that you are having to experience these emotions far more strongly than you were pre-Whole30?

    Use vanilla beans. You can even get them (or vanilla bean powder) at Amazon.
