@WholeChristina Thank you for the carne crockpot recipe. I saved this on my phone to make next week! I've also noticed an improvement in mood the past few days. So thankful to be turning a corner from my moodiness! (Fingers crossed!) @lilakayThose pizza boats look delish! I plan to make them next week.. glad you loved them! Also, I'm a scale addict too. It has been a relief not to be able to step on the scale every day. My morning weigh ins prior to whole30 have ruined many mornings for me sadly. I may stick to not weighing myself long term. I honestly love not being tied to a number. I can tell my clothes fit a little better but certainly nothing drastic yet. http://mixandmatchmama.com/2017/02/sheet-pan-supper-roasted-sausage-potatoes-veggies/ I'm making this sheet pan dinner tonight. I've made it before prior to whole30 and it is super good. I'm subbing the protein for compliant Italian sausage I found at publix and skipping the PAM in favor of greasing with coconut oil. So I had a big win last night! I have been trying to break my snack habit so hard. I am a chronic snacker normally. Well since whole30 I have cut out my morning and afternoon snacks but still struggle in the time between dinner and bed. I'm a huge Big Brother fan and my husband and I normally watch all the episodes together and we snack during it. Ugh. Well last night I made myself a cup of hot tea and that was it. Yay!!! I made sure to have a big dinner with plenty of fat, veggies and protein. I ate more than I normally would at dinner, but made it without snacking last night.. WIN!!

@AlpineViking I hope you are on the mend soon. It's no fun to be sick when you are rocking a whole30! @sojurabbit I just found thrive too! Seems way cheaper aside from the fee to join after 30 days, so at this point I will just stick to the free 30 day trial! Nutpods were way cheaper than Amazon has them. Primal pantry items seemed quite a bit cheaper too. Today was/ is crappy for me. I overdid it on hazelnuts tonight. Literally after dinner I sat watching a show with my kids and ate half a bag of trader joe's oregon hazelnuts. They are not even that good. Seriously. Think I'm getting bored with my meals or something. I have a hard time finding the time to cook with my 3 kids being out of school for the summer. I'm usually throwing something together an hour before dinner and then it ends up being really not that great. Anyone have any (easy) crockpot meals they really loved? @lilakay How was the pizza boat recipe? Maybe I'll give that go.. Breakfast was eggs with spinach, green peppers, avocado cooked in ghee. Lunch was a giant chicken salad and dinner was sweet potato and beef hash. On a positive note, feeling WAY less bloated and definitely have less inflammation. I have knee pain that bothers me quite a bit and I've noticed that has really improved since starting whole30.

@WholeChristina Hope you had a fabulous birthday! Sounds like a great day! @lilakay OMG. Thank you for sharing your tantrum the other night. Seriously. I've had like .. three.. of those. That sugar dragon is fierce. Really fierce. Thankful for understanding husbands.. Also, your burger sounds amazing. We had burgers on the grill last night too, and I added Primal kitchen mayo and an avocado on top and it was so good. Will definitely try it with bacon next time! Yum! Today I had 3 eggs, green peppers, and spinach fried in ghee with a side of avocado. Lunch was a big chicken salad with spinach, hard boiled egg, and olive oil for dressing. I made this casserole again (http://paleomg.com/easy-breakfast-casserole/), which I love and will be having for dinner tonight.

@lilakay Thanks for the awesome article links! I will definitely focus on what I CAN have versus can't. Also, I could drink passionfruit La Croix all.day.long. Best drink ever!! Good luck at your pizza dinner.. salad sounds delish!

@AlpineViking thanks for the tips on the sweet potatoes.. I will for sure try diff varieties as well! Where did you purchase your primal kitchen mayo? I bought mine through Amazon and it was kind of pricey. Wondering if there is a better place to buy it? @Aurora Blue I will be making that sweet potato apple bake this week! Looks amazing.. thanks for sharing!! @Another Melissa oooh!! Great idea with the sweet potato toast! Will give that a go too! My family and I were invited to a house warming BBQ tonight. I have to admit I'm nervous about the food. Normally I'd skip it but this man coaches football with my husband and I would feel terrible not going. . I plan to being a salad and fruit that I can have though. Anyone have any tips for this? Have a great weekend!

Wow! @Jim4884 those are some awesome results! @lilakay I'm also waking up earlier.. not sure what that's about! Yesterday was an underwhelming day of whole30 food for sure. I made chili inside a baked sweet potato "boat" for dinner and kind of hated it. The sweet potato was SO sweet and everything together was just not good. Anyone else get bummed when their hard work for a whole 30 meal just doesn't come out how you wish it would?! This morning was 3 eggs with ghee, peppers and avocado. Lunch was a big salad with tuna and veggies. I definitely need to get my butt to the store as I'm running out of my favorites.

Hey Ljoatl! I wrote about the wrong bacon. I had read about someone talking about Pederson bacon at whole foods but the one I purchased is Wellshire (sugar free Dry rubbed bacon). Ingredients are : Pork, Sea Salt, Spices (Black Pepper, Fenugreek, Nutmeg, White Pepper, Mace, Allspice). It does say sugar 0 grams on the nutrition facts but I'm pretty sure that is just automatically listed on most things. The ingredients are all compliant. (Happy dance!) @Miss Kitty Nutpods are amazing! They have completely helped me not crave my morning Starbucks latte that I used to get. Hope you enjoy them too!!

Here's to day 4! Hoping it comes with more energy than day 3. @AlpineViking I found some great complaint bacon at whole foods. It says "paleo" right on the packaging. Seriously couldn't even tell it didn't have all the junk in it by the taste. It's very good. I believe it's called Pederson's bacon. Anyone else use nutpods in their coffee? I used to have a Starbucks every single day so was a little nervous about finding new coffee replacements. I've been making coffee at home and adding nutpods and it is so good. Hope everyone's day 4 goes well!

@Another Melissa Finishing up day 3 and all of the above of what you mentioned! So cranky and also super tired. I took a quick snooze as soon as my husband got home. Seriously exhausted. Did enjoy super delicious taco meat from the crockpot on spinach with acocado. Hoping Day 4 is easier than today!

In the middle of Day 3 over here... according to the whole 30 timeline I know Day 4 & 5 are "kill all things", however, I feel like that is my day 3 today.. "kill all things." I'm SO irritable. Anyone else getting the emails sent to them with info on each day that coincides with the days you are on? I'm loving it so far.. so helpful. They did say Day 3 is the hardest! I think if we make it through day 3 it is a HUGE accomplishment! I'm making this Whole 30 taco meat tonight.. http://www.rubiesandradishes.com/2013/12/07/easy-slow-cooker-taco-meat/. @lilakay.. your stuffed potato sounds amazing. Good for you for sticking to your guns and forgoing the cheese! My husband has been "flavoring" his whole 30 dinners I make with cheese too and trust me, the looks could kill over here too.

Thanks for the timeline Garyandme! Today was definitely more of a struggle than yesterday. I attempted to workout and just found I did not have the energy for it. Can't wait to crash in bed after chasing my kids around all day. I second that on your lettuce wraps, Aurora, they look amazing! I made a big skillet of sweet potato hash tonight (recipe from It Starts with Food), and was pleasantly surprised that my whole family loved it! It was so good. Since they aren't joining in my whole 30 fun I figure they can at least eat a Whole 30 dinner every night with me!

I'm excited for Day 2! Just had my 3 eggs scrambled in ghee with green peppers and salsa. What is on everyone's meal plan for today? Melissa, those meals look amazing! Pork carnitas are definitely on my list to try.

Aurora Blue- http://paleomg.com/easy-breakfast-casserole/ This is the breakfast casserole I made. I just skipped the onions. It's delicious!

Here's to Day 1! I made a breakfast casserole yesterday with compliant sausage, spinach, sweet potatoes, and eggs which will help with breakfast the next few days. My family can hardly believe how AMAZING whole 30 food tastes! The casserole is seriously one of the best things I've had (ever). Also, ( have ingredients ready to make chicken and zucchini poppers today as well as I got rid of a bunch of our junk snacks yesterday. Planning to head to Trader Joe's today or tomorrow to add to my whole 30 food supply! Any of you nighttime snackers? That is one of my biggest problems. I'm trying to think of other things to do in place of watching TV and snacking which has become my nightly routine I'm afraid. Best of luck on Day 1!
