  1. I knew there had to be an answer. Thank you so much. I make breakfast for my husband early, I will try eating with him as well. Thanks again.
  2. I feel fantastic, I have always listened to my body and ate when I was hungry. Albeit not the right stuff in the past, but now I am finding it hard to eat on a timeline of 3 meals a day. I have been very conscious of WHAT I eat. I am finding myself having a little something in the morning, (all 3 components, vegetable, protein fat, just a small amount to get me going around 7am. I need to force myself to eat this so early) Around 10am I am ready for the second part of my breakfast, then lunch around 2pm and dinner around 6. My question, is it ok to split up the breakfast portion into 2 servings staggered? Or am I missing some other point. Loving how I feel and the energy by the way.
  3. 5/7 Start Date - looking for a buddy

    We have chickens in our yard for over 25 years, they are so easy to keep and the eggs are out of this world. Roosters are the only problem if you have neighbors or don't like their noise. They eat all scraps we have, and bugs from the yard. I would recommend it if you have the space.
  4. Just a quick note, It's day 7 and I am sooo lucky to have my best friend and husband on the bandwagon with me, we are doing this together, so we share our feelings up and down. One I am having (last 3 days) my stomach does not feel in the evening. I have always been a conscientious food preparer, as far as eating mostly veggies and whole foods, not processed. I have never been on a diet or food plan in my life. I have always just listened to my body, hungry=eat. Granted I didn't make the same choices that I am now, and I sure miss my chips, but none the less, I am not a sugar craver, not an overeater, not a bag of chocolate covered almonds a night (because they are healthier for you) kind of eater. I seem to just not feel good at night. Is this anything anyone else has gone through? My hubby says he feels fine. Just didn't think I was changing up my diet that much to make a difference. Thoughts? I go to bed at least 2 hours after dinner and have plenty of water. Just makes me wonder if I am doing the right thing.
  5. Thanks @ShannonM816, I will check out the links. As for the pantry. Cleared it out on day -0. We did it together, (even my precious chips )Then keep finding things that don't make the list.l I am so surprised at how many things contain sugar and soy. Things I felt were making my cooking very healthy for years. I am overall very pleased and feel so informed it's kind of a high actually. Your advice on what to do is something I might say to someone as well, now to follow our own advice. Today I feel so much better and in control of my feelings ( I have a long term stressful situation going on simultaneously with this starting whole 30) . I know WHY I keep going to the kitchen for comfort, and today I am not coming back till it's time to cook a meal again.
  6. I would love any advice to keep us both on track. I am finding that my habit of grazing on salty chips during the day is going to be the toughest to break I think. My hubby goes out to eat with co-workers a lot, always love advice. Thanks.
  7. After months of thinking (knowing) something needed to change, I got my husband excited to take this journey together. I think he may be more excited than me. It is day 2 for us, and he was asking specific questions about how to remain true during the day while at work. I make the home meals, so that's the easy part. I think this is going to bring us much happiness and health in the long run. So for now, We are here!!! Yippee!
