  1. I done it :-) I lost 9lbs, and considering I did virtually no exercise, Im happy with that! I have a few NSVs as well, such as now needing a belt for my jeans, clearer skin, slower resting heart rate, much healthier relationship with food, more confidence in the kitchen etc etc etc.

Hey guys me again. Sorry I haven't been around for everyones journey. I can however confirm that I have successfully completed Whole30. I made the decision to do it "off the forum" as I needed to concentrate all of my energy in order to be successful. My plan worked. I hope everyone has been successful also and I wish you all the best for the future! I lost 9lbs, and considering I did virtually no exercise, Im happy with that! I have a few NSVs as well, such as now needing a belt for my jeans, clearer skin, slower resting heart rate, much healthier relationship with food, more confidence in the kitchen etc etc etc. At this stage I don't know if I would do it again. My initial reason for doing Whole30 was due to my back pain. In this area there has been no noticeable improvement unfortunately. But If i'm honest I wasn't expecting there to be. I am aware however, that things do happen in the background, and there could be small changes occurring that would be indirectly helping with my aches and pains. So I am going to keep on trying to eat in a Whole30 "style" while allowing myself the odd slip up such as a burger or bag of chips. I do not plan on starting to eat sugary treats again though, and if I do it will be very infrequently indeed. I would definitely recommend this program.

    Strategy for gathering ingredients

Hey guys, thanks for the responses. I had to basically calm myself down a bit and just tell myself to take it one meal at a time. It's only as complicated as I make it. Anyway, please see below link for my first meal for anyone that's interested :-)
  4. Hey guys so I decided to kick start my Whole30 with Melissa's Chicken Hash. I ended up making a few quick adjustments when standing making everything, such as cubing my sweet potato rather than "noodelising" it. I opted for chicken breasts instead, using two of them. Went for Coconut oil as my cooking fat. Tasted very nice actually, and the chilli flakes really made it quite hot!

    Strategy for gathering ingredients

I'm actually already thinking about giving up before I even start! I am literally sitting here trying to compile some type of list, so I can head off to the supermarket, but I just dont know where to even start. The 7 day meal plan is a great idea, but I really feel let down that this isn't accompanied by an official Whole30 list of ingredients, for the likes of myself who struggle with this kind of thing. And the unofficial list which I linked, is itself overwhelming! Then there is the list of equipment that's needed... I can tell this is is going to be an uphill battle for me from day zero..
  6. Thanks for the replies folks
  7. Guys I'm currently looking through the 7 day meal plan on page 196 of the book, and I now feel quite anxious about the best way to gather all these ingredients. I'm currently flipping back and forward between the meal, and the page that the meal is listed on. So for example the very first meal is "Spinach Frittata" so i'm skipping to page 206, and jotting down what ingredients this requires. Then there are things included in the menus such as "Ranch Dressing" which are actually their own thing as well. I feel like there could be a better way to do this? The 7 day meal plan referenced on the bottom of page 199 would be really handy right now, if it actually existed. Even somewhere containing a list of all the dressings, so I don't have to pluck these out of individual menus. Any help appreciated!!!

Looks like a great start well done! Can I ask, what did you use for your cooking fat?
  9. On page 199 of the Whole30 book, it says, "Download a complete shopping list for this 7-day meal plan at" I was unable to find this download, so done some searching and have discovered there is no such thing! Can anyone confirm that there is indeed no such thing? I have found the below link from another user which they have kindly created themselves: My first impressions of this list are WOW, so much food!!!! Which leads me to my next question, now that I see everything required for one week, has anyone actually calculated how much money it costs to purchase the food required for a successful Whole30 program? Thanks.

Hey. Ah that's no problem. Yes you understood correctly and I understand your answer. It was just an idea :-)
  11. Hi guys, really appreciate those responses!! Glad I asked the question now. I hate the taste of fish so I think I will go ahead and order the liquid omega 3. Is the amount of glycerin/glycerol from the capsule really going to effect my results? If it is, then its out, just double checking... Cheers.

Im not sure were on the same page lol. People aready have their own threads, including myself. My idea was to create a thread and call it something like "For all those starting the program on June 1st" and have everyone post in it. Surely it would be easier for people to support each other and keep up to date with each others progress in one single thread like this, rather than have to dip into all the individual threads to offer / receive support no?
  13. Hi All, I take a few supplements from the MyProtein range. I just assumed that these would be compliant but now im not so sure. I hope they are! I would appreciate any input. Please see attachments.. Thanks.
