Great job to everyone who is staying strong and sticking with the rules! As someone who has done a successful and then one not so successful Whole30 I know how hard it is to stay on plan, make all the right choices, and read ALL the labels
Made a great meal the other night, Mocha Rubbed Pot Roast. Im not normally a big pot roast person but my hubby is and since he dutifully eats my Whole30 and Paleo creations with minimal complaints (he gets sad about no cheese lol) I tried it out and its AMAZING! Super easy to make as well.
Stay strong everyone, we are already one week in <3

Personally I much prefer Avocado Oil to Coconut Oil for my cooking. Never had an issue with burning.

Pan seared mahi mahi for dinner. Made it with ghee and squeezed lemon on top. Ate a side of roasted root vegetable medley, with curry sauce. Was awesome !!!!
If you havent used ghee before, i highly recommend it.
If i cook like this every night - whole 30 will be a breeze.

Hi Everyone!  I haven't posted in a few days, but things are going well.  I definitely had some fatigue issues late last week and over the weekend, but I'm feeling really good now.  I sure enjoy seeing the support and encouragement on this board and love hearing about recipes people are using.  My husband has today off work so he's making XO Pork with Blistered Green Beans from Michelle Tam's new cookbook "Ready or Not"  for dinner tonight.  I can't wait!  :-)

Hi all!  I don't know about anyone else, but the mornings seem to go by too quick in my home and I usually don't allow myself enough time to make a decent breakfast.  Lucky for me, I could eat the same thing for breakfast everyday for a month and be completely content.  Which brings me to the point of this post.  One way I make mornings more manageable is by always having breakfast casserole at the ready.
I use 10 eggs, 2 small or 1 large potato cubed (white or sweet - it helps to put these in the microwave for a minute or two to soften them up a bit), 1 chopped onion, 2 chopped bell peppers, 1lb of homemade (or compliant store bought) sausage (browned with the onions), 1T red pepper flakes, salt and pepper to taste.  Bake in 9x12 dish at 375° for 40ish minutes (or until the eggs are cooked) and cut it into 8-10 pieces.  I store it in a gallon sized ziplock in the refrigerator and pull out 1-2 pieces each morning, pop it in the microwave and then top with 1/4 avocado.  It's delicious, covers all of the food groups, and takes less than 5 minutes to prepare on a crazy busy morning!
Hope you're all enjoying this beautiful Humpday!  It's raining here, but it's still beautiful!

Hello fellow Day 8ers!  Sorry I've been MIA, but I've tried to post from my phone a couple times and halfway through typing a post, it vanishes.  Today I logged in from my computer and whaddayaknow...I found a half written post.  Just sitting here, ready to be finished.  What. The. Heck.
Anywho...I've found that, so far, this W30 has been a complete breeze compared to my first.  I'm not having cravings and I feel GREAT!  I attribute this to the fact that I was in such a bad place and had packed on so much weight in such a short time that I was absolutely MISERABLE for the past couple of months and I didn't even realize it.  I struggled to find the energy to make dinner, do dishes, fold laundry...pretty much anything that took an ounce of effort. I realize now that I was basically poisoning myself with my terrible choices!  Seriously.  How rude!
And now for the 1/2 written post from day 4...
Just a thought for when you're in a rush and don't have a meal prepped...
Keep a pack of compliant Applegate hotdogs, pepperoni, or salami in your refrigerator, a bag of steamable veggies in your freezer, and a few Larabars in your cupboard.  It's a lifesaver when you're feeling hangry and extra stabby.   I was a bit overwhelmed the first 1-2 weeks of my first W30 because I felt like all I did was COOK, but once I realized I didn't have to make a great big fancy meal every night, it really helped.
Keep on keeping on.  We're 1/4 of the way there!

Shoot, that is a bummer.  You need an accountability buddy at work.  Or a plan.  Take a walk.  Send a note/text/email to a friend.  Anything.
Maybe if you typed a note here on the forum when you got the craving  - by the time someone answered you would have been back at your desk - and probably gotten over it by then.  Such a bummer.  And now, you probably won't be reading this b/c you need to start on day 1 again on a different page.
Use the support!   We are cheerleaders for each other - am I right?  I'm counting on y'all to help me up when I falter... hoping you expect the same of me!

The Curate line is just two fruit flavors combined instead of one. They're still just very lightly flavored sparkling waters, with flavors like apple berry, cherry lime, or pineapple strawberry.  They should be fine for whole30.
I haven't tried the NiCola ones, haven't ever found them near me, but they're the cola flavored ones that are not okay to have during Whole30.

I have to confess...  its Dday 7 and I haven't cheated one single bit,
Carrot cake with cream cheese frosting is my all time favorite and there was some in the kitchen at work.
I just couldn't resist. The temptation was too strong and I had some.

Bad news... its, an hour later and now I have a KILLER headache.  Like, killer.
Learn from me... dont do it. It was damn good, but not worth this headache.

@Garden Gal Im so jealous you have a Sprouts! Fell in love with them while visiting my brother in Vegas, sadly they arent coming to Jersey until later this year.
I had a freaking amazing Meal 2 today...Cioppino! It was a total labor of love took about 2.5 hours but OMG amazing. Honestly I prefer taking an average recipe and Whole30ing it  For this it was just a matter of omitting the white wine and making sure my store bought veggie and seafood broth ( I took the lazy way out) was compliant.
Cracked open my first Cherry Lime La Croix last night and its my absolute favorite so far. I highly recommend it even if like me you arent much of a seltzer drinker.
Had a bit of a headache today but that could have also been because it was a crazy day. Otherwise Im feeling pretty good.

Had a crazy busy day and missed lunch. I really need to buckle down more and make the time. Sad because it was going to be delicious too lol. Now its Meal 1 tomorrow
Happy to report Im feeling pretty good. I guess Im an oddity because I havent experienced the hangover or flu in my past Whole30's with the exception of an occasional mild headache and some lethargy a week or so in. I think being a non coffee drinker helps.
I had a kind of NSV at the store today. While compliant I have been TOO attached to my cashew butter so I decided to take it out of my diet until I cure my sugar dragon. Its just SWOP for me
