Hi @MōmmyofH&O I was wondering how it is going for you and your family.  Have the kids seen any improvement in their skin?

Good luck to you.  Keep a journal of what you are eating so that you can look back at it and make adjustments where necessary. Plan, plan, plan, and read, read, read.
Is your husband going to do this with you?  My man isn't, but he eats whatever I cook so that helps.  I keep it simple and he doesn't even know the difference.

Hi everyone!  I started on January 7, so, day 9.   I feel like I have gotten past the initial headaches, fatigue, etc., but today is a hard day!  Some unexpected things came up that threw off my schedule for the day.  I’m realizing more and more that I am not good w/ being thrown off of my set schedule (Whole 30 or otherwise).  Anyway, just wanted to say “hi” and try to find some motivation for the day.

Hi Everyone! I just started today and I am a little scared. I have a coffee, dark chocolate, and green tea addiction.  I have found that I have chronic congestion, which I have read can actually be caused by green tea and dairy.  I am most afraid of the caffeine withdrawal - lol! I did love my food tonight though - salmon with avocado, sauteed brussel sprouts, onions, kale, spinach, broccoli, and acorn squash.  I did eat half of a baked acorn squash though - is that okay? I am not sure if that is too much squash in one meal.  I really need the support since I know this is going to be tough.

Hi @pearlgirl2017 - I don't have my book with me at the moment but I would imagine that you could  drizzle a nice finishing oil on the soup when you plate it or diced avocado would probably also be good. And of course a "soup and salad" dinner would be lovely also!

Last night was my step-fathers birthday and there was cake.  It was day 29 of my whole30.  I did not eat the cake. I wanted to.  But thought if I did it would make me feel bad. I get headaches, exhaustion when I eat some foods.  I know gluten and sugar is bad for my body.  It was hard, I cut 5 pieces of cake and scooped ice cream for each plate.  I sat at the table while everyone ate.  I feel good today, not only because I didn't eat the cake (guilt), but BECAUSE I DIDN'T eat the cake (symptoms).  I highly recommend reading Food Freedom Forever!

#1 tip for me...If you don't buy it, you can't eat it.  I doesn't matter how much good fruit and veggies I have in the fridge, if there is ice cream in the house that is what I am going to go for first.

Try to get him to commit to at least 10 days.  Once he realizes how much better he feels he may continue on with you.
Take some meals/recipes that you already use that are close to being compliant and make them so.  Most men are so resistant to change where their stomachs are concerned.  Keep the dishes simple at first.  The recipes in the books are really great, but too much new/change at once can be exhausting. Not to mention the rebellion from anyone not doing the program.
