  1. Re quantities this is from the instructions I got with my kit and followed myself

     

    Okay, boil 4 litres of water. Put 12 tea bags into your container, and then add between 320 and 400 grams of sugar to the container. We usually go for nearer 340 grams, but this is preference. (If you are using several smaller containers divide these quantities between the containers).

    Wow, your recipe is different! So much more sugar. Basically it's 0,8 gallon and 1 1/2 cups of sugar. More tea as well. Interesting.

    @Mo If I have access to computer I upload it to the photobucket. They have an app to, but it's useless for this forum since we can't have full editor. I bought a regular tapatalk thing. I wonder if we are using our storage similar to when you just attache a file here using it. I love your memes and hearts and everything.  I believe that Instagram extension works, but Flickr - no go, I've tried. 

  3. Alright, it's an official scoby show off then  :D

     

    My watermelon mint turned out strange. What did I do wrong :( Not enough of the fruit I guess. Boo. I've made a batch with mix of green and white tea. Can't wait. Also a memo to everyone - label them as you flavor them. I thought I'll figure out when I will be straining and tasting. Nope. I have 6 (!!!) bottles of mystery booch. That's why I've never made my way in the field of science :) Pear cranberry ginger is to die for. So is apricot cherry. 

  4. Dad has called and said his batch is ready. I said that I told him to test it after 5 days, not bottle it. He said nope, I love it like this. I thought that the vessel is in some powerd spot over there and told him to drink up :) Mary! Susan! Thank you so much, he has something to be excited about and something to play with during his "home arrest". He was so cute yelling "Nadia, it's ready! The blob has eaten the sugar! It's growing too. Do I bottle first or make new tea? Is it wrong that I like it plain? I want it plain! And yes, Mom said we need to add sugar to it to taste good. I said that she can't have sugar, right?! I mean if she doesn't like it more for me! Anyway, I don't see a baby you were talking about. Maybe we have a male scoby!!!" Shedding a tear.

    Flavors update.

    Cantaloupe. Don't waste kombucha, doesn't translate well at all.

    Cherry. Always good. Cherry vanilla is the bomb. Cherry basil is awesome too.

    Pear. Superstar. Pear vanilla and pear ginger - both are fantastic. Pear strawberry is lame. I am surprised.

    Cranberry - good good.

    Carrot - needs more experimenting. Carrot ginger blew me away.

    Cardamon. Weird but I love cardamon. Will be perfect Christmas drink. What's gonna happen if you heat booch? I assume all the good stuff will be destroyed?
